Looking for a cheap and cheerful smørrebrød place, I went with my wife and her parents went to Skt Annes, which was a mistake as it was covered in Michelin stickers and furs on the chairs out side. We therefore beat a hasty retreat to this place that looked far cheaper. Looks can deceive. This place was a similar price. However, it was worth the money(each pie was from 59kr to about 170kr). Each portion was large with only two required for a lunch. Inside, the atmosphere was wonderfully old fashioned, with plenty of beams to keep the American people happy, and old fashioned pictures on the walls. The waiter was helpful, whilst clearly more comfortable when speaking Danish, was fine with English and the questions of our American guests. The food was delicious. Just smørrebrød, but all of it excellent.
