Great atmosphere, good food and efficient staff. They have an impressive selection of wines and seems to be possible to buy a bottle of your favorite wine to take home. Feels like a neighborhood restaurant that is prized by the locals.

I’m going to go ahead and also call this a winebar, because it truly has a fantastic wine selection. In fact, the wine menu is at least ten pages, while they have a page for food. The atmosphere is great, and I think the service was on point overall. It is quite the cozy place(like everywhere else in Copenhagen) which was perfect to show my parents a taste of «hygge». The food: I ordered the lamb stew and roasted pumpkin risotto and I have to say that the food was good, but nothing mind-blowing. The stew had enough flavor, but was fairly boring as a whole. The risotto tasted very good, but I think they rushed it, as the rice was slightly undercooked. I tasted the beef tartar for the first time and I really liked it! I don’t think I’ve adjusted to Copenhagen’s price level just yet, but we also didn’t get that much food for what we paid. But I’m not complaining because we had good food with good company and good service so I am confident with my four stars for this restaurant.

Spectacular tapas-style food, amazing atmosphere, and excellent service. A fairly limited menu, but all 6-ish things we ordered were amazing. Come, enjoy

It is really late to come there, I choose 89 ddk meat. It is no bad. The food has changed a lot. The picture in Unilocal is not true already. But it is good place that you can talk with friend and relax~

There is a laid back bistro vibe to this small wine bar in the busy Værnedamsvej, separating Vesterbro from Frederiksberg. Its narrow locale revolving around the bar is crowded with people chatting at the bar or eating at the scarce tables. It’s a great spot for an after work hours glass of wine, early night out or romantic dinner. The small plated dishes are delicious and so is the wine. Waiters are professionally personal, adding both just-in-time and empathy to the mix. Great place —

People who know me would agree that I’m into gourmet living, and this little amazing gem of a wine bar on Vaernedamsvej fulfills all my secret — and not so secret — fantasies. A smallish place with an amazingly large and well stocked wine bar you’ll find any wine you desire accompanied by excellent guidance. I have lost track of the numerous hours I’ve spent at this place chatting away and getting a well earned buzz. In the summer time, you can hang outside in a very French kind of way with red wine in one hand and a cigarette in the other, or you can cosy up inside nibbling on rustic food, cheese or tapas. All in all: true love.

There really isn’t much to say about Falernum. It’s the best winebar in Copenhagen by a landslide. The food is excellent, the wine selection is fantastic, and the ambiance is cozy and intimate, which is particularly appealing during the dark, cold winters, but also pretty great during the summer with the windows open and an opportunity to people-watch on one of Copenhagen’s best streets. Gets crowded on weekend nights, so best to reserve if you want to stay for a whole evening.

I would consider taking a 9 hour flight just to recreate this meal! After spending 4 days in Copenhagen and 14 venturing my way through restaurants in Scandinavia, this may just have been one of the best meals of the trip! This tiny wine bar is as European feeling as it gets. It maybe has 6 small tables, a few 2 person seats on the side, and a bar that maybe fits 8. 4 of us showed up a few before 7pm on a Thursday night and happened to maneuver our way to the bar. The menu was very limited, steak/asparagus/potatoes, a 2 kinds of tapas platter(hot and cold), soup of the day, and a cheese plate. We all chose the steak and were in HEAVEN. We also loved the wine selection. Since we weren’t too sure about what to order, our group got a special wine tasting from Maria the bartended. So nice! The daily special and a glass of house wine ended up around $ 35USD.

I’m consistently amazed every time I come to Falernum, and lately that’s been at least once a week. Amazed firstly that wine can be so expensive, but also that the quality of the food and the awesome atmosphere makes you forget that so quickly. Service can be hit and miss, always opt for a day when either 3 staff are on, or make sure to sit at the bar.
