This place is definitely a 4+ restaurant. The spirit and generosity of the staff is a delight. The food is also some of the best Thai food I’ve had outside of Thailand. They are also open pretty late. A restaurant near by was closing and recommended we are here instead. A tasty find if you’re in the mood for oriental food.

My friend and I stumbled upon this priceless gem simply because it was raining and we were in the mood for Thai! The restaurant is located in Bolten’s Gård, which means that even though it’s smack in the middle of a quite trafficated area, you don’t notice the outside world at all. We sat outside, underneath big parasols and gas heaters on each side of the table, contently listening to the rain pouring down. The outside area is built up with lots of plants in pots and dividers also with plants crawling all over. The tables are placed at a reasonable distance from each other so even though the restaurant filled up during the evening it didn’t seem crowded or loud in any way. The food was delicious. They boast with combining the best from the east and the best from the west and do they ever. The way they’ve done this is to take a ‘western’ piece of meat and adding Thai flavors in form of delicious curries and sauces. The service was also excellent, always smiling and knowing when to be there and when not to. True thai atmosphere!

We went to this restaurant after we saw so many good comments in the internet, and now I’d say five stars are really not enough for this restaurant. We love it inside out. We arrived at the restaurant pretty late, around 9 o’clock, but it was just about dinner time, so the restaurant was almost full. There are plenty of seats outside and about five tables on the balcony. We chose the seats on the balcony, but in either place the atmosphere is awesome with their exotic decorations and candle lights. Usually when the service is slow, I’d lose patience, but even though they ran out of people that night, we didn’t feel underserved. The man who seems to be the boss was responsive to orders and requests, and he kindly gave us extra appetizers while we were waiting. The half-cooked beef salad was already awesome. Diced tomatoes mixed with avocado go well with sweet thai sauce. I had chicken breast as main dish. The meat was tender and the size was impressive; abundant curry sauce was provided. The rice was cooked slightly sticky, its texture was mildly chewy, tasted optimal to asians like us. Baked sliced carrots and fresh veggies were side dishes. My friend had lamb ribs. These is no «distinct smell of lamb» whatsoever, the portion was satisfactory for a man, and it also goes well with curry sauce. We tried both kinds of curry, and their difference is amazing. If we visit the city again, I’ll definitely come again.

We decided to try this place due to the raving reviews here and because we love thaifood and have eaten it all over the world including Thailand. We choose to go with the prix fixe or set menu if one prefer wich looked like a good deal for my bucks. At about 350DKK with 3 courses and additional soup looked like a Copenhagen bargain. The food: *Small shrimp amuse bouche that was fried with some sweet chili sauce. Tasted ok even though i dont really lobev seafood. *Appetizer sampler. 6 small appetizers that where mostly excellent with the spicy scallop, beef sallad and chicken skewers with cashewnutsauce as our favourites. *Soup. Normally the hot & sour shrimp soup wich i thoght was not spicy at all. Traded against the chicken and coconutmilk soup that was better but could have used some of that lovely thai spice kick i enjoy. *Beef filé with panang sauce. This meat was so awesome and tasty and the dish was as beautiful to watch as it was good to eat. 5 star dish! *Dessert sampler. This was some exotic fruits, thai pacakes with chocolate sauce, mango and coconut icecream. Some of the fruits where good while a couple was a tad bitter. Mango and pancake along with the icecream was very tasty. So on the«pro» side it was really good food and nice and quick service. The flaws i found was the 60DKK«Luxury» water on bottle. For me it makes no sense at all having to pay this much for something that taste the same coming out of the tap. I would have been happier with a cheaper bottle of water at maybe 20DKK. The meal with soda and water was around 800 something DKK and when paying i say«Give me 30 back». This line passed the waiter who never came back with a dime and the difference between danish and swedish is not THAT big. I didnt say anything(the swedish way…) but it left a bit of a bitter aftertaste on a nice evening with good food. If i would have rated ONLY the food and not the whole experience i would have given it a 4 rating.
