Husband and I were walking around the area looking for dinner and wanted something affordable since most restaurants in Copenhagen are minimum $ 20 a person and you’re never quite full after… The words Nordic noodles caught my attention and when we went in it was like a ‘u-grill’ or ‘mongoli grill’ in Canada. So we thought we’d try it out. You basically pick your noodle type, your veggies, meat and a topping(sesame, peanuts etc) and sauce. Basic noodles are 42ddk and veggies vary, sauce is included and toppings are either 1ddk or .5ddk. Both our noodle boxes came to about 150ddk. And I must say it was actually worth the money and we were very full after. We’d come back if we don’t find anything else better.

I am very disappointed each time I eat there. Somehow I have the idea that this place is hip and has good food. And I have eaten here 5 – 6 times the past two years, being every time disappointed. Lesson learned, never going back. The reasons: * The interior smells bad. When they fry the food they do not have a good ventilation meaning the hot fumes from food stay in. * The food is waaaaay too salty(and I love salt) regardless which sauce you choose. Also they leave so much liquid to the noodles when boxing them that when you have eaten half of the box, the food is swimming in an oil/sauce liquid. * The options are few. Being spoiled from the noodle shop next to my house from all the fresh veggies and toppings that I find this place not even competing. Plus the veggies are bad cut having some huge chunks in the food. * The price is definitely too high for the quality and the time you wait for preparation. So as said. Lesson learned and not going back. I still wonder how so many people eat there.

I wasn’t sure about going to this place when I first saw the comment on Unilocal. But since it’s a bit difficult sometimes to find gluten free places in Copenhagen, and also since we went in the neighborhood, we decided to give it a try. I took rice noodles, beef, broccoli, peppers, mushrooms and gluten free soy sauce. I loved it, it was really good !! My boyfriend took prawns, broccoli, mushrooms and soy with soy sauce as well, and he really liked it as well. We would definitely go back there if we go back to Copenhagen !

Decent, cheap noodles. Definitely get at least one veggie extra, in addition to some protein. My noodles were pretty lonely with just chicken.

Price /quality thus us hands down the best fastfood in the city. You can put together your own dish, and have it prepared, fresh and piping hot.

I was craving noodles and despite the cheesy alliteration, the name Nordic Noodle was off-putting. Nevertheless, I ventured in. I suppose it’s trying to emulate a hibachi bar. It’s nice to see my food being prepared for me, so I give them a plus for that. The interior is clean and has an Asian-hyyge fusion interior that is endearing. I got the beef noodles — it was tasty, but nothing that would make me go back again. Other than the touch of soy sauce, to be honest, it had a weird taste. My noodles didn’t taste –Asian-, does that make sense? It was filling enough though, so other than the taste, I have no major complaints.

I have no idea why people are crazy for this place. Even nominated for Byens Bedste? This place is slow, its noodles are basic, the veggies sparse and sauces can be found in any Fakta.
