Our kids love jumping from the huge ship like platform at Islands Brygge harbor bath. The gated and life guarded pools are an excellent way to cool off in true Copenhagen fashion. My only con would be that Islands Brygge itself is quite a scene — to see and be seen by young locals out having a good time. The area can be popular with boisterous partying groups and packed on a hot day. Many options for snacks, drinks and ice cream nearby.

We did our winter bathing here, and it was quite convenient with the nearby hot saunas that they had, inside trailers that were parked right next to the gates. The price was decent, but the only complaint I had was that when it got busy, there were about 6 – 10 men changing at the same time in a tiny little section of their trailer saunas. Luckily, people didn’t mind and most people were in and out. They even had little lockers, and a shower you can rinse the seawaters off, when you’re done. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a part of Tivoli’s fireworks from the pools and panoramic sauna windows, when Tivoli does their Christmas and New Year displays. Definitely something to check out if you’re looking to experience true Scandinavian traditions of freezing your *** off. Definitely something I’m looking forward to, next winter.

We’re here every day possible. It’s an oasis in the middle of Copenhagen on a hot day! There are pools for little ones, older kids, a swimming area and tower to jump off of. No place to change, but there is a public toilet nearby(which is yucky). Plenty of places to buy food and drinks nearby, too.
