Pizzas y cocina italiana en elegante restaurante de luz tenue, manteles negros y arte moderno en las paredes Ofrecen un menu al mediodia de un plato o dos platos y postre. No son cantidades astronomicas pero si te cojes dos platos sales saciado. Son delicados en sus emplatados y hacen que entre por la vista. Aunque el paladar es lo que los hace dignos de mención. ¡De momento todo lo que he comido está riquisimo! Es la segunda vez y seguro que repetiremos. Tienen la cocina abierta al salón, con loq ue puedes ir viendo como elaboran los platos. Si bien hay que destacar que no hay mucha variedad en el menu(si bien puedes optar por carta pero ya no es tan economico). He probado: ensalada de atun(que acompañan con unas tiras de pan de pizza), Rissoto(espectacular), pasta con salsa de tomate, salchicha y albahaca(de muerte) y unas tostadas con ajo, tomate y albahaca que para entrante está muy bien. Las pizzas son artesanas.

Great food and great service. We had pizza, pasta and salad and all were really good. My girls who are very picky loved everything. I would have given it 5 stars but it was a bit warm eating inside.

Ya en nuestros últimos días de vacaciones en Barcelona queríamos comer ricas pastas y pizza, siendo que en Buenos Aires tenemos excelente calidad de ambas opciones, y siguiendo las reviews llegamos acá. Pedimos ñoquis con salsa de espinaca y gorgonzola y una pizza de jamón y champignones. Ambos platos exquisitos y muy buena relación precio/calidad. La pizza es individual, a la piedra, de ocho porciones. Si no fuera porque es súper finita diría que es para compartir pero si vas con hambre podes comer una entera tranquilamente. El plato de ñoquis es perfecto para uno, ni mucho ni poco. La panera la tenés que pedir y te la cobran(2 €). Nosotros fuimos dos y gastamos 25 €(total) sin vino.

I have been wanting to try this place out based on the reviews. We started off with some nice refreshing gin and tonics. And then ordered a pizza Margarita and a pasta with prawns, and mushrooms. The pizza was perfectly thin, with a nice crunch and a sill slight chew to it. The sauce was really good and tasted like tomato heaven. The pasta was loved by my company, and she pounded away til it was done. I am not a like of mushrooms and i wont touch anything with them. Most of all the service was great. Our servers were super nice. Though it was slightly warm inside. Should have parked outside chairs.

The opening hours in Unilocal are wrong. I almost arrived when the kitchen was closing do I ordered two dishes to be served at the same time. Pasta with tomato sauce and bruscceta. Both were really good. The y tomatoes sauce with basil was first class. You know when you are in real Italian restaurant by the quality of the tomatoes sauce. Will come back with more time to try other dishes

Barcelona hat zwar kulinarisch einiges zu bieten, aber irgendwie war uns trotzdem nach Italienisch. Und bei A Gianni wurden wir nicht enttäuscht: Alle Gerichte — Pasta, Pizza, Vorspeisen und Nachtisch — waren exakt so, wie wir sie uns gewünscht hätten oder besser. Das Ambiente ist liebevoll gestaltet aber unaufgeregt, der Service freundlich, entspannt und angenehm, die Musik ist gut und die ganze Atmosphäre stimmt einfach. Hinzu kommt, dass A Gianni zwar eine sehr gepflegte bis gehobene Küche bietet, aber die Preise bleiben — für Barcelona offenbar eher unüblich — angenehm auf dem Teppich. Von allen Lokalitäten, die wir in Barcelona besucht hatten, war dies mit Abstand unser Lieblingsrestaurant. Kurzum: Sehr zu empfehlen!

Excellent little spot for a bite to eat! Silly American tourists who show up early will be graciously greeted and invited to sit and enjoy a drink– the kitchen opens at 7:30. Our waitress spoke perfect English, service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had pizza with cherry tomatoes and eggplant, pasta fresca with cherry tomatoes in garlic white wine sauce, pasta fresca with truffles in white wine sauce, and the daily special ravioli with truffles. For dessert, we had their homemade tiramisu and a delightful sip of lemoncello. This is a great place to visit if you’ve overdosed on tapas for the last six days like we had. Great atmosphere, very cozy, definitely recommend!

Food during dinner was amazing! i had a pizza, which would equivalent to a Combination pizza. I went there again the next day for lunch for the lunch specials that they had: Menu A and Menu B. The food was significantly lower in quality than their food available for dinner. The lunch special pastas lacked flavor and the risotto was not fully cooked. To be fair, it would make sense that the quality of the food from the lunch specials were lower compared to dinner due to the significant price differences. I’d like to note that the hostess/server who I think is the owner of the restaurant was very professional and nice, but it did not seem genuine at all. It’s like she secretly hated my friend and I. All in all, i’d come here again… for dinner only.

Just FANTASTIC! Great service, perfect wine and food was amazing. A lot of options available. My girlfriend had a salad and I tried the homemade pasta. Great food for reasonable pricing. We are definetely coming again before we leave barcelona.

This place is really good! The home made pasta dish I had was delicious, and so was the steak my husband had. They spoke English which is very helpful and the service was some of the best we have had during our month long stay in Barcelona. I liked it so much, I went there twice. It was a nice getaway from the Spanish tapas every other place offers.

nach drei tapas-abenden musste es mal italienisch sein. und es hat spass gemacht: — essen: top, wirklich gutes niveau — service: sehr freundlich, unaufgeregt, persönlich — wein: sehr gut — preis: angemessen — interieur: einziger abstrich, nichts besonderes, ein eher langer schlauch in summe: absolut empfehlenswert!

Buffalo mozz, tomatoes, and rocket salad. Fo-get-about-it. A little skeptical at first bc of a couple poor reviews, but after one bite I was totally convinced this place is the truth. My lady had the goat cheese salad which I tried and it was great. All ingredients are top quality. Bolognese may be the best Ive had. Great ratio of meat to tomato and it does not overpower the taste of the perfectly cooked penne. Overall this is the best place I have been to in Europe.

Aunque le haya puesto 3 estrellas A Gianni entra dentro de mi Top-3 de pizzerías en Barcelona, junto con Napoletani DOC y el NAP. Le pongo 3 estrellas pues, porque esa fue la sensación que tuve al salir del local: Normal– OK. Me refiero a la experiencia completa de la cena, no sólo a su carta. De hecho, fuimos a probar pizzas y cumplieron las expectativas. Masa napolitana(algo más fina que sus compañeros del Top-3): esponjosa, jugosa, con bordes algo crujientes. Los ingredientes estaban bien integrados en la pizza y tenían mucho sabor. Recomiendo la de Provolone de Alta Mura, salami picante, tomate cherry y shitake. No puedo hablar del resto de la carta, por lo tanto mis 3 estrellas también son el reflejo de la falta de información de los demás platos. Y es que también hay pastas, antipasti, etc. El local y el ambiente en si me dejaron fría. Es decir, no me transmitieron nada en especial, ni me trasladaron a ningún rincón de Italia. Más bien tiene una estética con ninguna personalidad marcada y algo anticuada. La relación calidad-precio está bien. Pizzas sobre los 11 – 15 €. El servicio muy atento y simpáticos.

La valoración de 4 estrellas, indica ¨si, soy un admirador¡¡¨, así que no pondré 4 estrellas sino 3(Normal, ok) A ver, las pizzas son muy buenas. Cumplen con las expectativas. no son un 10 pero si un 9. La masa muy buena, los ingredientes de calidad. Para el 10 le falta un punto de magia, algo que no sabría explicar. No se si es sabor o si es cuestion de texturas, pero es un 9. Entonces, por qué le pongo 3 estrellas, qué minimo que 4? La razón: el ambiente. Tuve la ocasión de cenar allí en el salón principal sin ninguna mesa ocupada a mi alrededor. La ambientación es muy triste. De colores oscuros con velitas de ikea individuales por mesa, cuadros de bodegones mezclados con pinturas abstractas. Todo junto lo hace un lugar un tanto deprimente. No soy de los que valora los ambientes pero en este caso me hizo que la experiencia de comer una pizza me la entristeciera. Además de esto, el tiramisú que pedí de postre, no estaba a la altura de la pizza para mi gusto. Las diferentes capas no estabab bien ensambladas, se desmoronana y estaba un poco seco. Para acabar, el espresso tampoco era el de un buen italiano que se precie. Tinta china quemada. No son baratas las pizzas, algunas alcanzan los 15 euros. Tienen ingredientes especiales: Jamones y Quesos importados de Italia o alguna especie de seta que aporta bastante a la pizza pero, finalmente, algo inflado de precio. Pidan las pizzas a domicilio en este restaurante¡

Un buen restaurante italiano, con muy buen ambiente y con mucha clase y en donde podrás comer platos italianos de calidad con bastante abundancia en el plato y con un precio más que aceptable para lo que ofrecen. Si te gustan los italianos, te recomienda este sitio… y no te asustes por la clase del restaurante, no es tan caro como parece!

After living in Barcelona for 3 months over the summer, this is by far my favorite restaurant! The food, wine, and service are amazing and it has a lovely atmosphere. I recommend the gnocchi! Best I’ve ever had. The caprese salad is also wonderful! Absolutely love this place, I went several times during my time in Spain :)

31 Euros… are you READY? 2AWESOME pizzas, a starter salad with tasty seasoned toast, a plate of delicious pasta(pesto with tomatoes), 3 desserts, 2 beers, 2 glasses of wine and a peach juice. 31 Euros! Impossible you say? Well that was our lunch bill today. Great service and top notch thin crust pizza. I had the brie and spicy sausage and it was sublime — perfect crust. The pasta while containing seemingly simple ingredients had layers of fairly complex flavors = great! If you are going to the Sagrada Familia do yourself a favor and walk away from the crud immediately surrounding the church, walk a few minutes and find this place — you will be glad you did.

Uno de los mejores italianos en los que he estado. Tienen muchísima variedad en los menús a elegir, tanto por su contenido(pasta, pizzas, ensaladas) como por el número de platos. Destaca la calidad y el sabor de los platos. La mozzarella de búfala es espectacular, un queso provolone sobre croissant… de escándalo. El precio es comedido y atienden rapidísimo. Sólo me queda la duda de qué tal será fuera de menú, porque con él es increíble. Recomendable 100%

We tried the set menus which comes with appetizer, main, dessert and drink. The sausage pasta in tomato based cream sauce was great and not too heavy. The pasta with truffle was rather plain tasting(though the most expensive with the supplement) and a bit disappointing but good experience overall topped with good tiramisu and a honeyed cheesecake which we felt was the better dessert of the two.

After eating our body weight in tapas for ten days, we opted to do a quick Unilocal search near our hotel and made a beeline to A Gianni for a little change of culinary scenery. We split a delicious gnocchi with gorgonzola and a pizza with salami and brie. The gnocchi, which can easily fall prey to overcooking, was perfectly prepared and paired nicely with the mild, creamy blue cheese sauce. The pizza — with a chewy crust and a light hand with the tomato sauce — transported me to a summer I spent in Sardinia as a teenager. Authentic and tasty. The service was lovely and accommodating. We were a low-maintenance duo, but I saw the waiter patiently respond to a litany of questions about the menu and multiple inquiries for«more marinara» at a neighboring table. Bless him. When you’re craving Italian in Barcelona, look no further than A Gianni.

It appears that I will be echoing the chorus with another 5-star review for this excellent Italian eatery in Barcelona. As an opening prelude to my dinner, Piatto Salumi Misti consisted of a large assemblage of Italian cured meats: Mortadella, Speck, Guanciale, Salami Milano, and San Daniele, served with homemade baked flatbread. All cold meats were of high quality and taste. Next up for me were 6 fresh Oysters on the Half Shell from Normandy: another big win! And the pasta special of the day, Pappardelle ai Funghi, made with Porcini and Shitake Mushrooms and fresh homemade egg noodles, was quite delicious. Meanwhile, Diane very much enjoyed Provoletta, a creamy melted cheese concoction similar to fondue, and her pizza topped with ham and Emmental, Parmesan, and Mozzarella Cheese. Portions were generous, and all food we tried was well prepared. Dining quarters were small but comfortable, reflecting a cozy informal ambiance. And, service was friendly, proactive, and highly competent. While it was raining cold drops like cats and dogs outside, enveloped in the comforting embrace of this pleasurable ristorante it felt quite tranquil and warm inside. Whether as a tourist or a native, I would gladly dine here again!

Love it and more please… We decided to visit A Gianni for two reasons: very close to our hotel & to deviate from Spanish tapas. I am so glad we did because we had a great dinner with excellent service. I enjoyed everything from the wine recommendation by Angelica, the design of the restaurant and the food! We were not disappointed with any dish that we ordered. And that includes our second visit. We love our wine so we ask for bottles with certain characteristics. Angelica listened to what we like and was spot on with her recommendations. An extra bonus was that the wine was served in a proper wine glass at the correct temperature. Now for the food… I don’t know how such simple dishes can be sooooo good. Our first visit there we started with a caprese salad. It is large enough to split(see my picture) so save some space for other dishes. I thought I was eating bufala mozzarella made that very day. After the salad I had a great and simple steak. It was season and cooked how I would cook my own steak. My wife ordered a pizza from their menu. Again the size was generous. After I ate a slice I wanted to come back to try more of their dishes. Our second dinner. I know it may sound weird that we ate here two times out of the five nights we stayed. But our flight the next day was at 6:30am and we had to be packed and ready early the night before. So we came back because we knew the food will be good. We shared another starter, prosciutto with mozzarella. I would recommend this dish over the caprese if you had to choose between the two. Then we split an order of risotto and a pizza. BESTRISOTTOEVER! I couldn’t believe how great it tasted. And again it was no more than four or five ingredients. We ordered the risotto special of the day, chicken risotto with lemon. It was perfectly cooked, not over cooked or too al dente. And it tasted amazing, just a hint of lemon to pair with the chicken and risotto. I know we will be returning to A Gianni when we come back to Barcelona.
