Holmes Place Health Club

Estoy muy contenta por haber llegado a este gym. Disfruto mucho ir xq las instalaciones son excelentes, siempre encuentro máquina para correr y además tienen una gran variedad de clases. El servicio es muy bueno y lo mantienen bastante limpio. Es verdad que puede ser un poco carillo (yo estoy pagando 69 €) pero para mi que vale mucho la pena.
En cuanto a clases hay: body pump, body combat, pilates, yoga, air fit, upper body, entre muchas mas.
Además tiene una piscina que me falta x estrenar pero que se ve muuuuuy bien!

I’m rather excited to be the first person to review this place. So much to say, since I have been there 8 of my 9 days in Barcelona. First off, my hotel, Le Meridien (Ramblas) provided free daily passes to my friend and me. I wanted to swim, and though the pool at Holmes wasn’t a typical full-​size pool, it was easily long enough as a lap pool. It felt like it was about 15 yards long, and had 3 standard sized lanes. It was heated just right too, and immaculate, with was completely encased in stainless steel (including the bottom). Amazing jacuzzi, sauna, and steam rooms (all coed, unlike at Equinox). The people at the club are all very clean and no meatheads. The staff is exceedingly nice, and the place, again, is immaculate. Everything from cotton swabs to towels are provided. Pool has kickboards, fins, and other stuff for swimmer types. They have classes, though we just watched them. Best part is that unlike Equinox, it’s not overly crowded. I think it’s 70 euros for monthly membership, but seemed expensive if you wanted to pay for day passes (I think about 20 euros).
The club also has amazing food, and at a great price. Probably some of the best meals we had were at Holme’s Place. Very healthy too. They serve you a 3-​course meal (e.g. salad, entrée, dessert) for 11 euros. You can sub a coffee for the dessert too. And the WiFi is free, so you can work out, then eat, and get some work done in a lovely dining room. Equinox could learn a thing or two from this place. I will miss it immensely.
And of course, it helped that the girl at the front desk was very cute. One of the prettiest girls I’ve seen during my stay.
