The appetizers here are ok, not not that spectacular. However, the 1KG steak, cooked rare, was excellent! Great marbling and dry aged taste. Spaniards can cook steak that’s for sure!!!

This place is on the pricey side, but we knew about it before we went. We decided to try something we don’t usually eat, like blood sausage, veal tataki, they were very good. We also ordered croquette, squid and duck, everything was super delicious. Service was great. Décor is very modern. The most important, it is Clean! Highly recommend this place.

The kind service here was a gentle introduction to Spain.(Since most of the tourists come for dinner, the manager(?) was nice enough to provide an impromptu translation of the lunch menu for us.) Unfortunately I did not care for the taste of my crunchy rice dish and thought that the portion was relatively small for the price. My wife did enjoy her baby squid in black(squid ink?) sauce. The bread was tasty and the décor was stylishly modern. I’m going to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and say that it’s a good place and that I just ordered the wrong dish. But if I ever came back to Barcelona, I’d probably try to find someplace a little more affordable and casual.

WE love you Gonzalo!!! I wish we have a restaurant like yours here in LA we would go every day!!! What an amazing place! The presentation & quality of their dishes were something that we still remembering! We had a foie gras with artichokes that it melt in you mouth. mmmmmmmmm I wish I was there one more time. My boyfriend had Pig Legs that were exquisite ! we seriously keep talking about this place. It was so good we were here twice in 3 days! The servers were very friendly, and the chef came to greed us! He was so nice that we tough he was a server too, until he said he was the chef! lol He definitely went the extra mile for us; he suggested a couple of great restaurants that we could visit during our stay in Barcelona. However, IGUELDO was soo good, we had to come back =) TIP: Try their Cheese Ice cream!!!

I was positively surprised by the quality and execution of the dishes at this establishment. We had sauteed mussels, amazing iberian ham with tomato rubbed toast, grilled sardines, beef with a foie gras topping, a cheese plate and several other dishes which we shared. None of the dishes was a disappointment. My only strike against the place was the wine list, which could have been more extensive — but this is a minor nit. Pricing was entirely reasonable with no courses over 20 euros. Lastly, this restaurant passed the«smile test»… everyone at every table positively looked happy — a key metric when judging how good a restaurant really is. I would recommend Igueldo for an excellent, foodie meal for people who like to experiment. Overall, a very, very good meal.

El Igueldo es un restaurante sofisticado que cuenta con una sommelier que viene de haber trabajado con dos de los grandes: Neichel y Arzak, así que ya os podéis imaginar que la carta de vinos es una gozada. En mi visita, tuvimos problemas con algunas de las copas(no estaban en buenas condiciones) pero quiero pensar que sólo fue mala suerte. El local es de aspecto moderno y díáfano con todo el mobiliario blanco y el suelo de madera. Los productos son de gran calidad, y tenéis que probar los platos de carne porque son fabulosos, ahora bien, no es nada barato(y las cantidades, muy escasas). El cubierto acaba subiendo a unos 75 € sin grandes excesos, así que es recomendable sobre todo para ocasiones especiales y caprichos gastronómicos.

Es un buen restaurante vasco y, por lo tanto, encuentras buena materia prima. Elegante y moderno, puedes tapear en la barra o sentarte en una mesita y hacer lo que hice yo… ¡Comer uno de los mejores chuletones a la parilla que he probado en tiempo! Vale que no soy muy carnívora y por lo tanto… No entiendo mucho del tema… ¡Pero, oye! ¡Precisamente! Que una persona no muy carnívora«gaste» tinta para alabar un chuletón… Será porque lo vale, ¿no?
