Love this restaurant! We happened upon it after a heavy morning of shopping and we were looking for something non-touristy in this area. Thankyou Unilocal!Beautiful room, friendly service, menu in English even though we were the only tourists there. 3 course menu for 18.90 is unbelievable. They were so kind — explaining the menu, substituting fries for the children. Highly recommend.

Incredible restaurant tucked away by La Catedral. First impression, décor: We arrived a few minutes after it opened for lunch. There was already people settled down, and throughout the meal it quickly filled up and we were the only non-locals there! The inside was lovely(not overly elegant or too flashy, just very well done) and the staff was fantastic. They were very attentive, knowledgeable, and spoke English(although I am a native Spanish speaker and my wife holds her own, but she sometimes prefers to order in English). The proprietor(Lluis) took his time to speak with all the patrons which was great. Food: For under 20 euros you get an appetizer, bread, main course, and dessert. The food was delicious and the presentation fantastic. You may find cheaper food elsewhere, but this is hands down the best meal I have had in a while, even at restaurants costing double. For a fantastic meal at a reasonable 20 euro, this is it. You will leave stuffed(in a good way) and very satisfied. My warm goat cheese salad was a beautiful work of art and hands down the best I have ever had. My wife’s soup was also fantastic. Lluis brought us cayo(a tapas sized appetizer of tripe), which was delicious and I(not very discreetly) used the bread to soak up all the juice. For the entrée I ordered a veal burger and after Lluis gave me a hard time for being that American going to barcelona and ordering burgers, I went with the pork trotter. It was delicious. My wife ordered sea bass, also fabulous. For dessert I had flan, which was the best I had since my grandmother(whose parents were from Barecelona) last made it 20 years ago. After dinner they served us excellent coffee and Lluis offered us free drinks. I cannot speak more highly of this restaurant. Definitely a must!
