This place is the best, the bomb, legit, awesome. Pasta is made fresh in house, you can watch it coming out of the «Machina» as you wait or eat. We’ve had the red, italian, and mushroom pastas, all sublime, their salads are delicious and worth the trip on their own. The bruschetta were a delight and the tiramisu was fantastic.
People putting out fresh and delicious food each and every day.

Walking around Gracia and found this wonderful place! They have menus in English which was obviously really helpful. The staff were very kind and the options for what to have on the pasta seemed endless. It was also a really great price, some places a few streets over were charging € 22 for a single dish whereas we got two pasta dishes, a salad (big enough that we could share) a water and a glass of red wine for around € 24! Such a great deal. And it was beyond delicious, and I’m pretty picky about pasta because I love it so much. Would def recommend and come back.

Delicious and affordable ! You can choose the type of pasta you want in your plate, as well as the sauce, and all combinations are amazing. The food is fresh and handmade. I will come back again and again !

Ni bien entrar habia que hacer cola, local muy popular y bien ambientado! Acogedor y de estilo rustico modernista. Antes de escoger que comer en el mostrador hay colgando, en potes de vidrio, muestras de las pastas que tienen (muy ùtil).
Me pedi tagliatele al pesto, me hubiera gustado que fuese una porción mas grande, pero estaban exquisitos! El precio estaba bastante bien.
Eso si, habia demasiada gente queriendo una mesa

Muchos tipos de pasta, y de salsas y toppings para añadir! También tienen ensaladas y menú del día a menos de 10 € de ensalada o sopa + pasta + bebida.
Restaurante con una decoración muy chula y original. Buen ambiente. Algunas mesas son para compartir con más gente, lo cual me parece divertido porque puedes conocer gente.
El personal muy amable y muy rápidos, estuvimos sentados enseguida a pesar de la cola que había.
Quería pasta sin gluten porque no me sienta bien pero no tienen, así que pedí unos gnocchis con salsa de aceite y ajo y topping de tomates secos. Muy buenos pero con gluten, ya que llevaban harina de trigo.
Buen restaurante si estás por gracia y quieres comer pasta rápido!

Great pasta place! Many tourists come here in my experience, but it’s still a really great place to go get pasta.
The food is really good, I’ve never been disappointed with anything I’ve eaten here. The pasta is really really good, as can be expected at a pasta bar.
It’s an interesting way of ordering too, you have this long list of options and ingredients, and at the end you have to choose a combination.
It is not authentic Catalan or really Barcelona, but it’s one of the most acceptable un-​Catalan, and sort of touristy restaurants in Gràcia.
They’re very nice, and always attentive.
Inside it is really cool looking, very pretty.
I would recommend it for an inexpensive, quick, but legitimately good meal.

I use Unilocal a lot but this is my first review. Time and time again I and those with me benefit from the feedback of others so need to return the benefit
1st evening in Barcelona and didn’t know food options for dinner. Unilocal didn’t let us down. Machianna’s was splendid food and nice atmosphere. We were a party of 8 and we had terrific service in spite of how busy they were. Lasagna was delicious! Salads spectacular! Noodle pasta’s were very nice and the sauces, both pesto and red sauces were superb! What a jewel of a place!
Although we didn’t know you order direct to the kitchen and grab a table afterwards, it was still a terrific experience with a great atmosphere. Noise level was good even though busy!

I would highly recommend trying this place out. It is a very cool concept and they do it well. Everything is very fresh and fast. We all got the carbonara, which wasn’t my favorite, but I would still go back because I feel that everything else would still be amazing. Also priced very reasonably.

La macchinna se ha convertido poco a poco en un lugar de peregrinación. Gente del barrio, de Barcelona, turistas, jóvenes, mayores, algo más mayores, niños… Todo el mundo que pasa por la puerta se queda mirando, sorprendido, pensativo, atraído… Y zas! Caes en la tentación, una pasta fresca, rápida, con diferentes salsas al gusto. He de decirlo, cuando lo pruebas, repites! Mis preferidos son los raviolis con espinacas y salsa pesto biancco (ya no está en la carta, pero lo pides y te lo preparan igual). Otra de las cosas que NO se puede uno perder cuando acude a la Macchina es el tiramisu. En su contra, por poner un pero, es el precio. En realidad es más bien la relación cantidad — precio. Con un poco más en cada ración sería perfecto! Pero no os confundáis, está hecho para todos los bolsillos. Buonanotte!

The perfect place to satisfy any pasta craving! You fill out a little slip and hand it in and get to watch the stuff be made right in front of you.
I had the tagliatelle with the mushroom sauce and added sun dried tomatoes. It was totally delicious. They even give you the option to have your pasta cooked hard or soft! They’ve also got whole wheat and stuffed pasta options (like raviolis).
The service is also super quick and friendly. Would definitely recommend. A little pricey though once you start adding on ingredients.

Whilst randomly walking around Gracia, we came across this cute little gem and saw the fresh pasta being made behind the counter. Having not had pasta in Europe yet (I don’t know how it was possible going on 5+ days in Paris and Barcelona), we decided to give it a try. I’m glad we did.
It’s the same concept as a Chipotle in the United States, but with Italian. You pick a pasta, a sauce, and the fixin’s. It was the perfect place for a lunch/​mid-​afternoon lite meal with a glass of wine. It was also very inexpensive.
