Market Cuina Fresca

It’s hard to find something good in barca by chance. Here’s one! We took the menu for 13,50 including salad, main, dessert and a drink — it was very nice and we can absolutely recommend this place.
If they’d also cooperate with a local roaster for a good coffee I wouldn’t miss a thing.

I’m bummed I didn’t get to eat here while I stayed in Barcelona, but I did have the coffee and it was wonderful. I love the concept of this café — it’s refreshing to see a business that values fresh, daily menus. When I’m back in Barcelona, I’ll definitely make it a point to eat here.

Right off of Passeig Pujades in Poble Nou, Market Cuina Fresca is located in the middle of a great area for gallery hopping. Once you check out Plataforma (my favorite gallery in the area) and its neighbors take a break at this unimposing spot for a delicious, market driven midday meal. Being from Northern California I appreciate regional produce and strive to eat locally as often as possible and this lovely spot more than adheres to that paradigm.
The ambiance is quite casual and seems to be frequented by the creative crowds that fill this otherwise quiet corridor of Barcelona. Students and professionals speaking a litany of languages mix side by side to get a taste of the healthful meals whipped up just behind the counter in the kitchen. Well composed and affordable (a midday prix-​fixe will run you about twelve euros), Market Cuina Fresca is a hit.

Una opción tremenda para almuerzo en Poblenou. En Market Cuina Fresca, como el nombre dice, la comida es hecha con productos frescos del día en el mercado. La comida es liviana, fresca y llena de sabor. El menu de 12 euros incluye entrada + principal + postre y bebida. La ultima vez que fui, he comido de entrada unas sardinas frescas con sandía y salsa. Principal, una pancetta com purê de hongos y un salmón con risoto de quinoa. De postre, estaba MUY bueno el mousse de café.
Ojo porque abren solamente para almuerzo en los días de la semana.
