Excelente restaurante, raciones muy completas y precio correcto. Muy amables. El dueño es de Zamora y tiene productos de esa zona buenísimos. Muy recomendable.

Every dish is just plain amazing here! We had the Ox tail stew, the paella with squid ink, the grill octopus, the razor clam. With a glass of red wine on the side, this is how a great vacation should felt like! The service here are very friendly and warm. We are so lucky to have Mrs. Zhang, one of the waitress who speaks Chinese to help m y fiancée and I order the seasonal specialties. Everything is so delicious and has the rich flavor from the northern Spain region. This is a place not to be missed when you visit the famous Sagrada Familia! Also there is a generous discount offer if you make reservation online through TripAdvisor! :)

Amid many small«shotgun style» eateries populating Barcelona’s streets, this corner restaurant offers charming indoor dining, a beautiful interior patio & café/street tables. Terrific service by enthusiastic staff with excellent recommendations, the menu offers beautifully prepared and presented, flavorful Catalan style paella(with pasta) in addition to the more traditional version(over rice) with fresh & tender ingredients. I enjoyed the best caprese salad I’ve ever had(a feat having been in Italy for a week and having many!) and my friend’s goat cheese salad was extraordinary(we were hard-pressed to decide which was better as both fell into«the best ever» category). The cannelloni was a bit bland(perfect for anti-spicy folk), and the home made caramel(bread) pudding was delightful. Nogal was also open earlier than many of the area’s restaurants & doesn’t get busy until about 10:30 pm

This is our last night in Barcelona and decided to come to Nogal restaurant as recommended by our contact at the apartment we’re renting. EVERYTHING was delicious, especially the Paella Negra! Service was great too! Our server, Sue was very polite and made her recommendations. Thank you Nogal for our best last meal before heading back to USA!

We had a nice dinner at this place. Paella was very tasty, sangria as well. Prices a little bit high for the place that far from the center.

Very expensive place and the food not special at all-some dish just semi warm… sorry, but not to be recommended at all.

8 € per portion of 6 croquettes which were Frozen from the middle, 6,5 € for a basic lager + 1,5 € service charge per person(which was not mentioned in the menu.) We were probably ripped off as tourist because we spoke English. Would definitely not recommend.

Worst meal that we ate in Barcelona. Our seafood paella was completely flavorless. We told the waitress and she recommended we return at night because there is a different chef then — no thank you! Onion soup was fine. All of the serving plates and utensils were soaking wet when placed on the table and smelled like bleach. Crema Catalana and cheese mousse tasted like artificial vanilla plastic.

The service was terrible. Our group of 4 got paella and a sea bass, service was incredibly slow, they forgot one of our meals, and never came back with the desert we ordered. The food was acceptable but not worth the sorry service.

So far, 3 days in Barcelona and 3 times eating here. Excellent tapas, home style food, nice staff, great ambience. Don’t expect fancy but pure Spanish style. We tried the Paella, Onion soup, Escalopa de lomo, canelones rellenos, even the bolonegse spaghetti my kids ordered was so good!!! And the Sangria! Excellent. Going back for the Paella con Sepia(black paella). Sunday is a full house over there. Coffee is really good(and I only drink very good coffee) Desserts are very traditional: crema catalana(very similar to crème brûlée), cheese cake(nothing like the American version. This is lighter and I bet it contains gelatin. It was delicious) Pudin(contains bread, more like bread pudding but less sweet) And they serve the best Jamón Ibérico de Bellota brand you can find in Barcelona.

Excellent food and service, traditional spanish«old school» ambience. We had a great time and got recommendations while ordering tapas. Ended having a feast with great tasting traditional spanish tapas. The owner brought us the best of the house, a plate with Jamon Iberico and toast, and explained how they eat it in Catalunya.
