I couldn’t give 0 stars. I had a wonderful stay in BCN. We enjoyed every meal intil my last one. I left with a bitter taste in my mouth. We were seated in a tiny patio table for 2 top. We ordered mista salad for 9.75. Romaine lettuce tasteless with canned corn canned black olives and canned tuna. It was disgusting and overprice. We barely touched it but server didn’t care. Anchovies had some sort of cayenne pepper on top Taste was ruined as a result. Shrimp were swimming in oil, and mussels and paella were good. As we were waiting for our paella server was clearing seafood platter from a nearby table and she spilled juice all over my shirt and my wife’s jacket. No apology. I don’t blame server, but I blame owners for setting up too many tables close to each other. Manager took my shirt and my wife’s to the kitchen and tried to wash it by hand. Both my shirt and my wife’s jacket were ruined but I couldn’t say anything because I’m catching up my flight tomorrow am Poor ownership/mgr. No apologies not even concerned about our dining experience. Taking their tourists for granted

Don’t let 3.5 starts fool you. This is the best food that I have so far in Spain. I stay here in Spain for 3 weeks and no where can match this restaurant in term of customer service and quality of food. The food is great, fresh, and the service is awesome. The owner greats and thanks us when we walk in the door. He offered us the most comfortable table. The waiters(yes multiple of them) was so friendly. We used to order a lot and they stop us and said«Just order that and see how you feel. You can always order more». We enjoy every single dish, and specially Sangria! When we finished our dinner, they cleaned up our table and brought out champagne«on the house» along with dessert menu. The must need to visit restaurant along the water if you in Barcelona. You can’t go wrong!

After searching up and down Passeig de Joan de Borbo Conte de Barcelona for a reasonably priced restauarant, we finally did what we were looking for. Let me just start off by saying that as a tourist eager to try local cuisine, Port Vell served us one of the best tasting, best value seafood paella we’ve had in Barcelona. They have a popular 16.50 euro set meal that includes a generous portion of fresh salad, 0.5 L of sangria, and seafood/vegetarian paella. When shared with 3 people, they combined the portions to give us a huge pan of paella and pitcher of sangria. Just when we thought the value couldn’t get any better, they offered us another free 0.5 L of sangria(but actually gave us 1 L) and a glass of complimentary champagne at the end of our meal. Service was great and friendly as well. I definitely recommend this place to local tourists as you won’t be disappointed!

Totalmente recomendado

Yum! After passing by a bunch of sparely populated restaurants late in the evening while walking around Barceloneta we saw this place. Menus posted outside and plenty of people inside. Plenty of stuff on the menu but we got the fixed menu and were very happy we did. It wasn’t the best food of my life but we were happy. The service was fast and attentive. It was a cool evening out but there were plenty of heat lamps so it was still quite nice outside. They give you a not-so-secret champagne toast at the end which was a very nice touch. As typical in Spain, we got to relax and hang out, slowly finishing off our bottle of wine, then ask for the check. You better like seafood if you come here!

Many standard Barcelona favorites here, like several kinds of paella, but the real treat is a vast variety of seafood, including a grilled seafood plate for two, which is stunning. We counted more than a dozen varieties of seafood including lobster, prawns, mussels, clams(including razor clams) and more. It was a formal service, which was done extremely well. We had a some wines and I’m told the Sangria is spectacular. Food arrived quickly, but they weren’t that busy. Our party of four were stuffed. Prices are a bit high, but the restaurant is unlikely to disappoint those accustomed to high service and really good food. How could the rating have been higher? More low-cal/carb desserts, and a wider wine list, perhaps– and perhaps a wider selection. Tough to get a 5star out of me, however.

price wise great we had a seafood platter for 2, a bottle of white wine and med salad for € 39.99 the sea food had lobster, languotine, prawns, clams, mussels, razor clams, cuttlefish & sea snails(the last 2 didnt appeal to me as much) we had a bottle of white(standard cheap plonk) and patatas bravas(like roast potatos with ketchup and mayo) and some fairly lame tomato bread — overall my partner got her seafood fix — we got free cava @ the end which was nice — as i’m not a major fan of seafood(altho it was tasty) i’d give this 2 stars for food but they’re getting 3 stars for the attentive waitress

Ugh, what a mess. Any place that advertises«paella and sangria 15 €», you have to be wary of. But we were tired and desperate, and knew that tourist trap food doesnt plan to kill you. So I say it’s a mess because there is some good stuff here, the table next to us had the most amazing seafood platter, our food was decent and I have to believe that the cooks knew what they were doing. But that was all lost on a combination of: garish décor, the lime green upstairs was sobering; football on the tv, it’s strange to witness a sea of faces staring at the screen while they ignore what’s on their plates; novelty drinks, in unwieldy glasses; and an ‘entertaining’ waiter who was running a fine line between between colorful, and just being a racist, sexist, homophobic pig. No, I take that back, he was a racist, sexist, homophobic pig Oh, and the bill took forever, even for catalan standards Probably good food, minus several stars for the ambience

Yum! My sister and I were headed to the beach for the day and decided to stop here for lunch. We got calamari romano and salad to start and then shared this beef dish. The calamari rings were huge! And they were amazing. The breading was light and crisp and the squid itself was so tender and amazing. We chose this place after walking up and down the strip of restaurants and seeing that this place was one of the cheaper places. Service was relatively fast and the staff seemed pretty friendly.
