Si te gustan las empanadas para terminar el día, no dudes en pasarte por esta esquina y probar alguna de sus muchas variedades. Las vegetarianas me sorprendieron muy gratamente y siempre que paso por delante no puedo resistirme y pruebo alguna nueva variedad… Muy buena terraza, pero pocos asientos interiores. Estupendo para pararse a tomar algo rápido, pero no pensado para cenar con calma o grupos grandes.

Empanadas caseras, variedad y sabor, impresionantes.
Ensalada rekons, abundante y con muchos productos, muy sana y currada, cada día diferente, muy buena.
Las empanadas y su ensalada de la casa es la especialidad, pero tiene otros buenos platos, como la cazuela de patatas a los cuatro quesos o cualquiera de su variedad de bocadillos. Todo preparado a la vista.
Cervezas caseras, el carrot cake muy rico!
Terraza, restaurante sencillo pero curioso.
Menú kilombo rekons, ensalada, enpanadas, bebida y café sobre los once euros.

ya son muchas visitas, se ha convertido en uno de mis preferidos :) la ensalada kilombo, casera, cada día diferente, completa, sana, sorprendente. la variedad de empanadas, cada cual más rica, los bocatas, los té. la carrot cake, mmm. siempre lleno, siempre buena atención, rekons Si, i love Rekons!

The salad + 2x empanadas special is great for sharing! The wide variety of empanadas are fantastic, and the four I tried were all delicious. Service was bilingual and attentive. Prices were very reasonable. Great location for people watching too!

The salad + 2 empanadas special is plenty to share, and very delicious! The salad includes a cheese filled zucchini, wild rice salad with tuna on tomato, carrot and sweet potato slices, cubed mozzarella, dried cherries, asparagus, and sprouts on a large bed of lettuce. We chose the ham & cheese and capresse empanadas. Both were savory, flaky, and toasted to perfection. There is a reasonable amount of indoor and outdoor seating Sit first to be served or head straight to the counter for take-​away.

Una gran variedad de empanadas que no te dejaran indiferente. tienes para probar. repetir… y volver otro día. hay varios rekons pero este en concreto tiene su encanto. supongo que es su terracita que siempre esta llena y eso quieras o no te da confianza…

Good but really slow service keeping in mind the number of customers and the size of the restaurant. Venue has a certain, simple charm to it. The empandas were good and there were many to chose between. Generally there was a bit much bread and not a lot of stuffing. My favourite ones were chicken with plum and bacon with goat cheese.

This place doesn’t deserve less than 5 stars– and the salad is as amazing as everyone says, and more. Ridiculously delicious. So were the empanadas. You just cannot beat the combo! Again, it lives up to the hype. Great value for amazing casual food. The only thing that sucked for us is that we were there somewhat late (10pm, not super late for Barcelona) and they were out of many of their empanada options, so we had them bring whatever they had. Didn’t disappoint though.
We ordered a ham, cheese & potato casserole on top of the combo and it almost made us take a nap on the spot, it was so simple and soooo good. Came straight out of the oven, piping hot, potatoes perfectly cooked and seasoned, and that HAM, for gods sake. THAT HAM!!!
We initially tried ordering more food but service gave us a heads up that it was going to be a ton of food, and she was right. Even though I would have loved to try whatever else it was that I wanted to, by the time we were halfway done with the casserole, we were feeling stuffed to the brim. But we couldn’t let that ham go to waste so we ended up picking at the rest until it was like half a crumb of potato left and we left the restaurant in good pain.
We reminisced about Rekons for the next three days (and still going). Go here for a meal, trust me.

I was craving a salad and came across Rekon. My husband and I shared one of the featured dishes. We had a salad, 3 delicious empanadas, a drink, and coffee for under 12 €! The sandwiches looked fantastic. They were huge, but we were too full from splitting our meal to try one.

Llevo tiempo viniendo a este sitio, aunque últimamente sólo compraba empanadas para llevar. Hace unos días vine con mi pareja y nos sentamos tranquilamente en la terraza a disfrutar de la comida. Como esperábamos todo muy bueno, yo me pedí un medio kilombo (ensalada con 2 empanadas) que ya había olvidado lo grande que era, y no pude acabarla. Y mi pareja un bocadillo Milanesa de ternera que también estaba muy rico. En general todas las empanadas están buenísimas, mi preferida la de carne con calabaza. Las cazuelas (patatas asadas y con diferentes toppings) son para tener en cuenta, eso si, hay que compartirlas, a no ser que tengas mucha hambre. Todos los chicos son muy amables y he de comentarles que las mesas de la parte de arriba también tienen su encanto. Ahh! Y precios muy solidarios.

Well assorted selection of good «empanadas» (stuffed pies). Correct service and price/​quality. But I will not call this place a Restaurant.

Mmm, this place was so fab. A plethora of delicious empanadas made from fresh produce. Stellar service and opened late.
The best deal around — a big ass salad + two empanadas of your choice + any drink (alcohol included) + coffee = 10.30 euros. Huh?
All of the empanadas we tried were delicious — eggplant, asparagus, mushroom + cheese, chicken, etc.
But the unsuspecting star was the ridiculous salads. Words don’t do them justice. These were the most satisfying salads ever. It was more like a bunch of wonderful stuff laid out on a plate for you. Fresh greens, slices of tomatoes, grilled zucchini, hunks of brie, dollops of burrata with honey drizzled over it, melon balls, orange slices, walnuts, parmesan crisp wrapped around grilled veggies… yes. It was nuts and we loved it! Definitely shareable.
The staff rocks — all of them. If I lived in Barcelona, I’d be here nearly every day.
Thank you Rekons for the wodnerful food and hospitality! And to the couple who overstayed their welcome at the outdoor table by making out and going up each other’s skirt/​pants — take that sh*t home and let someone else have a table.

LOVED this place! Was visiting Barcelona with my father who is Argentinian and we were looking for a good place to eat some empanadas. Rekons is very casual and it was full of locals — always a good sign! They have an incredible selection of empanadas — we both got the deal where you get 3 and a salad plus a drink. The portions were very generous and the food was really tasty! Great to be able to drink Argentinian beer too :) The staff were super friendly and we had a good laugh with them. Would love to go back here next time I’m in Barcelona!

Came here and paid € 12.50 for a great red-​wine lemonade and five empanadas. Get the chorizo and bacon & cheese empanadas for sure!

Perfecto cuando no sabes donde ir. La opcion perfecta si tienes hambre y tampoco quieres comer platos elaborados. Empanadillas, bocadillos geniales y ensaladas espectaculares. 100% argentino con toques catalanes. No hay que olvidar pedir sus cazuelas de patatas de diferentes tipos.

Riquísimas empanadas y una sabrosa ensalada fue mi comida. Me quedé con un poco de hambre.
No obstante, la oferta es amplísima y el trato es bueno.
El local un poco incómodo por el espacio.

Genial. Hace años que funciona este bar/​restaurante y siempre s igual o mejor que la última vez. Es un sitio para ir a tomar algo, cenar, picar… Su especialidad son las empanadillas pero su carrot cake no tiene desperdicio. Igual que sus bocadillos.

We ate there twice. Both times were excellent. First for the menu del dia. I ordered the salad, which was supposed, to come with either chicken or pork. Sine I do not eat meat they substituted empanadas. The salad was actually many salads, in one. A plate of mixed greens with a caprese salad on one side, a roasted vegetable salad on another side and a roasted fruit salad with cheese and walnuts on the other. It was very good. The second visit was for wine and tapas, also very good. Be warned that seating is very limited and I have, never seen this place be empty.

En el centro de Barcelona, decoración relajada, Rekons es lo que era una antingua granja /​colmado. Conserva los aparadores y tienen además de la terraza y el espacio a la entrada de la tienda, un espacio en el primer piso perfecto para cenas de grupo.
Su especialidad las empanadas argentinas con masita de hojaldre y rellenos de vicio :) La ensalada de la casa está también riquísima y es muy completa, perfecta para compartir entre 2. Precios muy asequibles y ambiente muy agradable. Además atienden de maravilla, son muy amables.

Great local experience… two people enjoying appetizers, beer, and meal for $ 21 euros couldn’t ask for more. The server spoke enough English to help us read over the menu and the ability to people watch is an added bonus… the potatoes were so yummy and a must try… they are extremely busy and run out of certain empanadas but this place is definitely worth a visit while in Barcelona… I will be back tomorrow

What can I say about this freaking fantastic place? I came here because of Unilocal’s reviews and I came on a Wednesday night thinking that it wouldn’t be very crowded. Every single table outside and inside was full to the max and there were people waiting for a table. I put down my name for a table outside and after I waited for about 25 minutes the waiter asked me if I would be willing to sit with a couple of guys that were already seated at a table. I was happy to share a table with them, their names are Steve and George. We talked about everything you could possibly talk about for two hours. Finally the bartender told us we had to leave because they were closing the place. I had the most delicious mushroom empanada and a delicious vermouth. The company was wonderful, the waitstaff was excellent, and the ambience was perfect. Come to this place.

Came here for a nice light dinner looking for tapas (based off Unilocal), but was pleasantly surprised by the delicious empanadas (get the spicy meat one!) and potato and cheese tapas. There aren’t very many tapas (most of them are combinations of meats and cheeses) but the place offers fabulous food at a decent price so that’s awesome!

Había oído hablar de Rekons pero no fue hasta el otro día que me llevaron, que descubrí de qué tipo de local se trataba!
Empanadas argentinas para dar y recibir! Y no pude probarlos, pero vi unos bocadillos… que con verlos me llené, una presentación deliciosa.
Las empanadas están hechas con una masa de milhojas (hojaldre) que hace que sea bastante más ligero de digerir que otras empanadas que se puedan encontrar en otros locales. Los sabores… difícil no encontrar alguno que te guste, ya que la variedad es considerable, a 2 € por empanada. Con 3 o 4 como mucho, se puede comer bien. Yo probé la de espinacas, la de humita (masa de maíz) y la de cebolla y queso. Muy buenas las tres. Más que recomendable.
El local no es ni demasiado grande ni demasiado pequeño, con dos pisos y la terraza es bastante generosa, por lo que es ideal para tomarse unas empanadas una noche de verano a la fresca!
Como no, también tienen alfajores de maizena y más postres, pero en esta ocasión ya no me quedaba espacio en el estómago para probarlos. Habrá que volver para completar la valoración!

Genial descubrimiento en el barrio de Sant Antoni. Rekons es un local abierto a la calle (cuando hace buen tiempo) donde sirven un montón de empanadas argentinas diferentes. Mi favorita es la de pollo con ciruelas.
También tienen bocadillos (buenísimos) en los que puedes escoger entre medio o entero y a los que puedes añadir la opción vegetal. Es decir, a cualquier bocadillo del ingrediente que más te guste, puedes añadirle lechuga y tomate como si fuera un vegetal. Acaba siendo un súper bocadillo delicioso. Por eso es bueno pedirse la mitad, para poder comer también las empanadas! Las ensaladas también tienen muy buena pinta, pero no las he probado aún. Siempre me tienta más comer varias empanadas.
En el exterior, tienen una terraza con vistas a la espectacular fachada de la Carbonería.
Los camareros son súper simpáticos y amables, ¡así da gusto!

Came here on other Unilocal reviews and was not disappointed. We ordered the minikilombo salad which was huge! So much food on one plate! It also comes with 2 empanadas, a drink and coffee, all for 10.30 €.
Definitely get the prosciutto and goat/​Brie cheese with the potatoes (Around € 7), chorizo or cheese and ham empanadas.
The service was also excellent as our waiter spoke English and basically went through the whole menu with us.

An absolute gem. Huge portions and excellent deal. For 11.30 you can get 3 empanadas, a huge salad, a drink, and coffee or tea. The salad itself costs 8 €.
The staff speaks a but of English and was extreme helpful translating the menu. These guys were do busy and non stop on a Sunday afternoon, we were impressed.
Highly recommend stopping by if in the area.

Y luego dicen que en el eixample sólo hay supers y farmacias… ¡pero que dicen! A la altura de Urgell con Floridablanca está el Rekons, un argentino exquisito que llena su terraza bajo un toldo verde que aun pone granja Canigó día si día también. Una gran variedad de empanadas argentinas (todas para chuparse los dedos) y una caña son el paraíso terrenal. Hay también un menú de como diez euros con ensalada y tres empanadas, bebida y café que te deja doblado. Si hay un poco de tiempo y sobretodo hambre, como dirian los Talking Heads, Rekons it must be the place.

Muy buenas empanadillas y otras delicias argentinas. Terraza ideal para tomar una cañita y exponerse al sol, charlar con amigos y disfrutar. Servicio rápido y amable, buen café con leche, prensa diaria y buen ambiente. Siempre está lleno, creo que no hace falta otra recomendación.

Rekons is one of those perpetually busy places. And with excellent reason: This place has it all! The space is bright and airy, and the entire establishment opens onto a small number of outdoor tables and seats. In the early afternoon and late evening you can pass by and see a huge variety of people hanging out, enjoying a beer and and some excellent food while soaking up the sun… Perfect for people watching!
Everything about Rekons is inviting. Though quite busy, the staff is incredibly efficient and equally kind.
Most important, though, is the delicious food! The massive displays of dozens of different empanadas! The enticing desserts! The menu overflowing with delicious options! You can pick anything from this place and rest assured that it will be extremely tasty! I’m particularly a fan of the vegetarian empanada offerings they have: eggplant, leeks, mushrooms, squash and tomatoes abound in combinations that are so good you’ll want another… and another!
One thing: as Rekons is so good, you might need to wait to grab a table – especially outside. There is always, though, the option of ordering some of those fabulous empanadas to go :) Trust me, I’ve done it many times!
Visit Rekons, you won’t be disappointed!

I’m still a fan, but today I was sorely disappointed by the food that they served. I ordered my favorite — potatoes and 4 cheese. Usually an ooey gooey mess of potato cheesey goodness. And I also ordered 2 empanadas. Everything came out COLD. the outside was warm, but the inside was stone cold. UGH!!! I love this place so much, and hate to think that their standards have dropped. Hopefully they just need to get a new oven.
I will still be back for more, but skeptically.

Robert M. picked a great place. Right on the money and huge portion size. I love how BCN has set menu price where you can choose from a list of goodies and it comes with a drink and coffee after. I pretty much got the same as Robert M. salad and 2 empanada. But I splurged and got a extra one. The salad OMG it was delish. I love the cheese they put and the cheese on top of the veggies. OH gosh whoever created my plate THANK YOU for being alive. (he he he). The food was just perfect and made me full. A little extra full with my extra empanada which was the pumpkin one. Which was really good. My little girl got the hamburger and potatas bravas. I was thinking a 2 buns and a burger nope it was in a empanada form. Cute. Her potatas bravas was actually roasted and the sauce oh wow it was delish. I used it with not just the potatas but also my empanada and stuff. LOL.
The staff was great. Especially since I was sitting next to 3 awesome Spanish teacher and 1 awesome cousin in law who spoke Spanish. Yay for me that is. They have a wide selection of empanada and dessert you can pick from. All you had to do was just look at the display. Awesome…
Bathroom was actually very nice and clean. I will return again!!!

I came here to meet up with the fabulous Kat T. who was visiting from LA, on a recommendation from the equally fabulous Robert M.
Our criteria for the day: something affordable, and delicious in a place that can accommodate a group of 5 adults and 2 kids. With outdoor seating if possible. And Rekons provided all of the above. Well, the 5 of us (and 2 baby strollers) crammed around a 4-​top on the sidewalk terrace, to enjoy a table full of empanadas and salads and patatas bravas.
What’s recommended: get the salad and 2 empanada plate which comes with a drink and a coffee for just under 11 Euros. It was very filling, and I couldn’t even finish my salad (when does that ever happen to me?).
Service was friendly and in typical Spanish fashion, very slow — but that was ok since we were just chatting away and enjoying hanging out. There was a constant queue of people waiting for seating or ordering food for take away — so it’s definitely a popular place. and judging by the food, I could see why.

Es posible que hayas pasado por delante de este bar miles de veces y nunca te hayas dado cuenta de que existe, y es que este pequeño local está camuflado bajo la apariencia de una granja-​colmado.
Pero si decides entrar, te encuentras con un sitio con una personalidad definida: es confiado, cercano, relajado y hace que te sientas como si fueras un cliente de toda la vida des del primer momento que lo pisas. Es consciente de sus limitaciones, pero consigue mantener todo el encanto (e incluso la fachada) de la antigua Granja Canigó.
Entre toda la oferta de bares de noche o de menú de Barcelona, Rekons se distingue como un sitio de media mañana a media tarde gracias a su comida casera y a sus dos especialidades: los tés y las empanadas. ¡Parece mentira que un sitio tan pequeño tenga tanto dónde escoger!
Está situado en la zona de Sant Antoni, entre dos de los cines más importantes de la ciudad y está creando una nueva tendencia: la gente ya no compra palomitas, prefiere hacer un «cine y empanada».

La antigua ‘granja canigó’ así se le ha quedado el nombre a pesar de que oficialmente es el Rekons, nombre que no conoce ni quisqui. Un bar donde siempre hay gente por norma nos indica que hay cosa buena, no? Y este es un claro ejemplo. Ensaladas, algunas tapas, bocadillos y empanadas argentinas a 1,90 es lo que podrás comer en este barecito cercano al Mercat de Sant Antoni. Con su terrazita y el solete se está de lujo comiendo algo o bebiendo con tus amigos o desayunando. Un sitio todoterreno, barato y de buena comida. Recomiendo el bocata de queso azul, anchoas y nueces… delicioso.

¡Vamos a hablar de hacer el vermú! Para mí es todo un ritual del domingo, igual que el desayuno todos los días, pero sobre todo los sábados. Pues bien, en el Canigó puedes tomar un buen vermú, o una cervecita o un vino o un zumo con algo para picar, un bocadillo (frío o caliente) o una ensalada; pero con lo que de verdad te caes de culo es con el surtido variadísimo que tienen de empanadas argentinas (de calabaza con carne es el paraíso) o con sus patatas bravas, que a diferencia de las que comúnmente encuentras, estas no están fritas, sinó que están cocidas con piel y la salsa es picante suavemente, vamos, que no ardes, muy, muy buenas.
