Can I just say «wow»?
They could not pack any more merchandise per square centimeter even if they tried! I only discovered this place because I have been in search of some kind of stone floor wax/​color enhancer due to an unfortunate situation with the stone/​marble floors in my flat.
This is one of those ancient stores of Barcelona — opened in 1910! This place is over a century old!!! Because I was only in search of one thing, and was in a rush, I didn’t get to really see what they have, but I was definitely overwhelmed with so many choices of paints, waxes, brushes, kitchen tools, household cleaning liquids and tools of every variety.
The product recommended to me was actually quite expensive, but I’m in desperate need of something. I’ve become accustomed to walking into «ferreterias» or other household stores, and finding very lackluster displays with no variety… «Less is More» doesn’t quite work when you need choices for the nuanced specifications of whatever your are searching for.
Fingers crossed that this wax helps me fix my floors. And I wouldn’t mind coming back to really see what I can find here. 105 years old! I’m still blown away by that.
