Gijs has given me one of the best haircuts of my life. No more irons or straighteners and my hair looks fantastic, with or without a hairdryer. The natural wave in my hair has been amplified by his skilled layering. Don’t hesitate, he is an accomplished expert and will take his time to make sure he understands what you’re looking for in a haircut. So glad we found Touch Salon. Thank you very much!

This is an excellent small salon. The owner did my hair — a highlight and cut. He is an excellent hairdresser who asks you what you want and really listens to you and delivers. He is the type of hairdresser who knows how to make your hair look the best as opposed to just cutting it the way he wants. I am so happy with my color and cut, and I am traveling far from home, so it is risky picking a hairdresser. I am happy I chose this one.

I was recommended to Touch by a close friend. Gijs is amazing he´s got a true artistic flare. He´s a great listener and and a wonderful consultant. He seems to only take one client at a time so during the appointment you are his only person in the salon. I later realized what a relaxing experience it was because there aren´t a million noisy hairdryers going on at once, and you don´t just person person to person. It´s almost like having your own personal stylist! So a part from being an awesome stylist he is also super nice, smart and handsome!

Okay, so I recently moved back to Barcelona, and I’m having trouble finding a good hairdresser. I decided to try to discover my own hairdresser by myself, and not ask friends and family for advice. I read up on Gijs’ biography on the Touch Hair Salon website, and I looked at pictures, and decided to just go for it. I also, wanted a place that wasn’t too expensive, and at 34 euros for a haircut I thought that was moderate. Anyway, I was desperately in need of a haircut, having hair that almost reached to my belly button, but I love long hair, so I told him that I wanted to cut the split ends, and make it shorter, but still make it look long. Low and behold, my hair is short. I hate the way I look with it, and, I hate the cut. The guy who cut my hair was quite nice though, and the atmosphere in the salon is pretty cool nice, so I can’t say that it was a horrible experience. He did ask for my opinion, and I just kind of nodded and told him it was ok, but that the one thing I wanted was to have long hair. The worst part was that when it was over, and I had short hair, he was like«oh yea, I guess it did come out short,» like he was as surprised as I was. I did not enjoy trying to look like I wasn’t really disappointed that he had«uglied» what could have been beautiful hair.

When I first arrived in Barcelona I did quite a bit of research to find a place I could get a good haircut. I live in San Francisco and I was going to be staying in Barcelona for a few months. I wanted a place that did a good job, understood what I was asking for, and spoke English as my Spanish was no Bueno. Touch exceeded all my expectations. When I first started going to Touch it was called Anthony Llobet’s — English Hair Salon. Gijs cut my hair and it was fantastic. Soon after, the Salon changed its name to Touch. Gijs is still cutting hair, but the place has been transformed from a classic salon to a new and stylish looking spot. Gijs is great. He speaks English, Spanish and Dutch fluently and will make sure you’ve very happy with your new haircut. The price was reasonable — 20 Euro for the cut and the only catch I was able to find was that you’ll have to call to make an appointment as it’s pretty busy. Booking a haircut a few days in advance isn’t usually a problem.
