Selenza Thalasso Wellness

Opened in 2006, the Hotel Selenza Estepona Thalasso and Spa is a revelation. Here, the spa is more famous than the hotel, with a staggering 35 treatment rooms — all individually styled. Graphics of soft clouds adorn the ceilings, and relaxing grass, floral or abstract wallpaper make for a visually as well as corporally stimulating experience. Stand out treatments are the chocolate or vino-​therapies, or for the less adventurous, groups of 30 people at once can use the thalasso pool area. On visiting, it was interesting to note that most guests were Spanish, a sure-​fire way to know the reputation and price were up to par. The 4 star hotel has 88 rooms and suites as well as 1 3 bedroom villas across the road.
