Hostal Veracruz

Not a bad hotel, it’s in the center of everything! which means, lots of noise, if you’re fine with this, great, but partying it up till 5am outside means no sleep for me. We should have went with the upstairs rooms she offered but since we had a stroller and all, we went against it. Our fault.
The room is sufficient, in Europe it’s normal to have twin size beds in your room, we got 3 of it, which means we all slept separately every night. Fun for the kids, for me and my husband? Not so much.
The view isn’t much more than another building but each room has some interesting wallpaper/​painting on it so that made it a bit more fun for the kids. It’s centrally located to everything so it’s a walking distance to everything in city center, SOL area.
It lost a star because they clearly wash their sheets in strong detergent, my skin broke out in hives and I had to wrap my body in my own towel to avoid further hives on my body. It itched and hurt for a few days. Fortunately, we were only at this hotel for 2 nights.
