Reasonable prices for their pastries. Has a nice section for cured meats and cheeses. If you forgot to pack your goodies for the picnic, stop by here for some quality snacks. Nothing crazy. Just a good ol’ trustworthy and dependable neighbourhood snack bar to fill you up before heading across the street to the Lizardo Museum(which by the way is free from 3:30 — 4:30pm on the M W Saturday)

Grabbed a pretty good café con leche on my way to the archive. Nice atmosphere. Lots of sandwiches and business-folk grabbing a bite over early lunch. Big windows and there’s also pleasant outdoor seating on Calle Serrano. Nice place.

A step up from most Madrid sandwich shops(plus also a charcuterie and in the Salamanca business district), which makes just a touch more expensive than usual shops too. Sandwiches and empanadas have always been very good; always changing up some of the choices; and the fresh squeezed OJ is yummy too. It is close to IE Business School campus, which made it a nice location to me. But if a tourist visits the Galdiano museum, this is across the street.
