This place has a very colorful Kitsh to it. You immediately get the sense that it’s not like other places, not pretentious, more laid back and homely with good food. All of these assumptions were right. It was an unplanned visit for some cheap Spanish/Mexican food to get us through the long journey the following day. We had the fajitas with chicken and cheese which tasted amazing. Hormone and GMO free meat and cheese that tasted full of flavor without nasty chemicals and ingredients. By far the best Mexican I’ve ever had on a dime. The customer service was amazing and fair in price. They speak 0 English but had full conversations in Spanish absolutely fine. They understood and addressed my gluten and sea food allergy. The food arrived promptly. The number one thing that I appreciated that I haven’t gotten from most eateries in the city so far is that they were okay with us sharing(they didn’t roll their eyes or hold an attitude against us about it). The place is small but worth the side visit.

First the positive. The place looks great. The murals on the walls are excellent and the décor is perfect. It’s really clean which made me wonder if it had just opened. The menu had some interesting selections and, being vegetarian, I was happy to see that there were a couple of dishes I could order as most restaurants in Madrid have limited to non-existant fare for people who don’t eat meat. The house-made lemonade was excellent. Unfortunately the portions were small and bland. Bear in mind that the both of us that ate there live in Berlin and are used to eating smaller portions. The small bowl of chips that came out as an appetiser was minuscule. Not enough for one person let alone the two of us at the table. How much could a couple chips possibly cost them that they were so stingy? The two accompanying salsas were also tiny, really watery, and didn’t have much flavor. The enchiladas were small and bland; not bad but also not particularly good. We paid 30 euros for two vegetable enchiladas, one coke, and one lemonade; then went to another restaurant because we were still hungry.
