Pantagruel

One of my Spanish colleagues suggested this place. I went for dinner and was hoping to try some authentic Spanish cuisine. It was a small place with a very casual ambiance. My server, a very pleasant lady, whom I believe is the owner and the cook of the restaurant. I was not sure though, nobody there spoke a single word of English and my Spanish was not adequate enough. I was able to communicate that I am looking for a «plato tipico», any dish that is typical to Spain. I showed on the menu that I wanted to try the Iberico ham. She told me that it will be «mucho» for me and said that she will make something that will give me a taste of authentic Spanish food. A few minutes later, she brought small pieces of bread with Spain’s famous Jamon and local cheese. She also suggested a tea to go with the food. Unfortunately, I do not remember the names since they were all in Spanish. Overall, I was pretty happy with the food and the service was very warm and personal, something, that I have noticed at a lot of places around Spain.

Un clásico de los locales de copas tricantinos, en plena segunda fase, antiguamente creo que se llamaba «Pub Bolas». Hubo una temporada que lo frecuentaba bastante, incluso recuerdo comiendo hamburguesas y perritos a tutti, pero ahora solo voy a tomarme la penultima con mis amigos y desconozco si tienen cocina.
No tiene nada de particular el local, salvo que no usan garrafon y eso siempre se agradece. El ambiente es de treintañeros y algun que otro cuarentón, se ven bastantes coronillas, asi que la jugada es tomarte un cacharro con buena compañia y charlar, ya que la musica no está alta y es bastante soportable. Tambien tienen futbolin, que cada vez se ve menos. Recomendable.

Es un buen sitio para tomarte una cerveza o una copa y picar algo si te entra el gusanillo, es un lcal grande con barra grande y mesas, además tiene la clásica maquina de dardos y un futbolín que cada vez se ven menos. En verano tiene una terraza la mar de agradable.
