Hesperia Lanzarote

Stayed here ²⁵⁄₀₉₁₅ for a week. It was € 718 for 2 including breakfast on a deal. The hotel is beautiful and the area is gorgeous, just a 2 or 3 minute walk from the dock where the yachts are parked up and there is a small strip of shops and a number of small restaurants and bars which are great for cocktails. This area is a little more expensive than the main strip but worth it. It’s a 10 min drive from the main strip and € 7 in a taxi. The reason it’s only getting 3 stars, 1: we booked as a young couple and got a family room in the family wing, with teddy bears and a tent in our room (great for a family, mood killer for a romantic holiday), 2: when we asked to change the room the staff were rude and annoyed and they kept this attitude with us throughout the week! 3: the staff at the pool bar have no interest in working (not just me loads of guests commented) 4: my boyfriend ended up in hospital and on the last day I rang to say that we might be late checking out because we were waiting to on the doctor, the person on the phone was not impressed and wanted us gone straight away, I asked to pay for late checkout and was told no. So great area nice hotel but staff are awful

hotel situado en la urbanizacion cortijo viejo de lanzarote, al lado de puerto calero. El hotel, para ser un 5 estrellas, no es nada del otro mundo, las habitaciones de lo mas normalitas, es mas, donde se a visto un 5 estrellas, sin escobilla para el w. c… las puertas no encajan bien, y se quedan encalladas, con lo cual tienes que tirar de ellas como si de un autobus se tratara. la puerta del w. c estava rota (era de cristal). el desayuno, tipo buffet, la verdad bastante completo. pero a la hora de cenar… 30 € por persona mas bebida, y no vale ni 15 €. si vais al hotel hesperia lanzarote, consejo: coger alguna oferta, porque no vale lo que pagas, y sobretodo regimen HD (habitacion y desayuno). las piscinas muy grandes y bonitas
