I struggled to find a «go to» Barber after I moved into the area a year ago. I am glad I found Blues Crossing Barber Shop. The proprietors are talented, knowledgable and professional Barbers. They really know their stuff. Please give your business and trust your hair to these guys. You will not regret it.

Absolutely the best haircut and shave around. In a world full of corporate hair-manglers it’s refreshing to find a shop with that old-time finesse and a professional attention to detail. When I leave, I look good.

As ladies who do not use barber service, we go to Blue’s Crossing Barbier Shop more days of the week than not, for several reasons. We first went there looking for a good espresso drink and now return again and again, because the service is very good and each cup is made to our exact direction. Barbers Bryon and Chris both know their way around an espresso machine! We go there often enough that they remember our drink orders from one visit to the next, and we appreciate not having to «retrain» a different barista every time we go. We call them our«Barberistas». The tastefully done shop décor is a delight. Bryon Morris is not just a Master Barber, a good barista and a handsome face, but he is also the skilled carpenter who built the spaceous barber stations that give the shop a vintage, masculine appeal. The espresso bar, also created by Bryon, is a wonderful addition to the shop. The conversation/waiting area is made comfortable with leather sofa, fabric chairs, and wooden coffee tables. There is also a kids space with smaller furniture, paper and crayons for the young. With all that, one might expect the shop to be crowded, but the building is a good sized historic structure in Old Town Aberdeen, so crowdibg is not a worry at Blue’s Crossing. Should they someday decide to add a station or two, it could be done without making this light and airy space feel at all crowded. Next on our list is the gentlemen. Both Bryon and Chris treat us in the friendly and gentlemanly manner that we like and have come to expect there. In addition, it’s fun to see customers come in the door looking a bit shaggy and watch them depart as immaculaly groomed gents. On slow days, we enjoy being a two person audience when Chris and Bryon practice their guitar and banjo. The increasing demand for their services may sometimes results in a short wait for your turn, but that comes with going to a really good barber. Appointments are available to take that concern off your list. If there are others in the shop, and you have to wait, enjoy an espresso or cup of brewed coffee. On some days, we are there and you don’t mind chatting with«ladies of a certain age», you can always chat with us. The other day, Chris introduced us to a friend as being«our groupies», and in a sense, he’s right.

My hubby came home from a long trip with a lot of extra hair. We were taking family photos the next day & needed his hair spruced up. We’d never been here before, but went because the reviews were solid. Turns out, they were accurate too. Great experience, great cut. And the espresso bar is back online! Have already recommended friends, who also enjoyed it.

Byron is a great barber and a young business man trying to make downtown Aberdeen better. Bryon recently added another barber, Chris. Both Bryon and Chris know what they are doing and give excellent cuts. Do not hesitate using either one of them. The quality of the cut is very good and precise. The shop itself has gone through some changes as Bryon experiments with ways to increase foot traffic downtown but through it all Blues Crossing has remained the best place in the area to get a great cut at a decent price.

Bryon is by far the best barber I’ve ever been to. For the last few years he has kept my hair looking great and off my ears enough for Army standards. He also does an awesome straight razor shave, and the atmosphere is great. This place is well worth the trip if you don’t want a hack job from a chain barber or on post. I hope I can find someone half as good where I’m going next.

Since the coffee shop has gone in the experience has suffered. It is very crowded inside now, the wait is too much and you can’t make an appointment. The new cutting station has completely lost its charm and I’m sorry of the direction the shop has taken.

I took a drive out to Blue’s Crossing to see Bryon for a cut from Fayetteville. It was well worth the trip and I will be a repeat customer from now on. I have been searching for a barber for 6 months after sadly departing my barber back home in San Diego. San Diego has some of the finest barber shops so I have come to demand a high standard of establishment and barbers skilled with scissors and clippers. In Fayetteville, all you are going to get for a hair cut is a high and tight or a messed up head. So, I did some research to find a barber that can actually cut hair and luckily I bumped into Blue’s Crossing. My haircut met my expectations and I feel great waling around with my new hair cut. My fade is just about as perfect as it gets. I brought a photo of a hair cut for reference and Bryon did an awesome job. I am just as pleased that I finally found a barber even if it is an hour or so away. The setup in this place is as good as the haircuts. There is that old school feel with hard wood floors and old fashioned barber chairs that are comfortable and makes a man feel like he is in the right place to get cleaned up. There are complimentary beverages and there are nice little shops close by so your old lady has something to do while she waits. Fifteen dollars is the price of a cut which is a minimal price compared to the services rendered. Bottom line, do yourself a favor and get yourself a cut at Blue’s Crossing because it just does not get any better than this place.

Well I followed my father’s recommendation and last Saturday drove down from Southern Pines along the backroad of NC5 to downtown Aberdeen to visit an «old-school barber shop that give straight razor shaves,» or so said my father. Now if any man knows where to get a good deal in the Sandhills, it’s that man so how could I resist. I enjoy the pleasures of man-themed pampering as much as the next guy(I think?) so I drug my willing girlfriend down to do a little shopping along the streets and shops of downtown aberdeen — on another note, if you haven’t been to Aberdeen lately, you’d be surprised to find the quality of stores down there. That is for another review I guess. So I arrived and was greeted by some good olé boys and man they have a good thing going. First off there isn’t a whole lot of competition because for no good reason that I can see men haven’t been allowed to enjoy the good old barber shop experience. Until now that is. The owner is a young guy who knows what he is doing and may be in the running for my first regular grooming destination since I was a small child. The haircut was professional, the atmosphere is up and coming with what I’m sure will be a few hiccups but all in all this establishment deserves five stars for originality — albeit retro -, service, price and overall customer experience.‘ There may be other barbers in the area but this will be my stop next Saturday to get the weekly cut. I may go for the straight razor shave again just because it’s a cool experience, who really cares that a gillette in my own hand will beat it out in terms of speed and accuracy but then again that isn’t the point after all anyway.
