Me and a group of 9 went to Mt. Fuji for my birthday dinner. We had the best time. We ate by the hibachi grill. We had awesome service, the chef and waiters were very personable and accommodating and they even sang Happy Birthday to me! The food was delicious! Great night and great food! Thanks Mt Fuji!

It was ok! Been here before they remodeled and they took all the hibachi grills out except one so of course it was full and we could not sit there, which is one of the reason I went there in the first place but whatever. Ordered steak and shrimp, got steak and chicken, sushi was not great either. Service subpar, overall won’t go back again and disappointed. Sad this use to be one of my favorite places.

One of the best Japanese restaurants I have been to! What I have tasted here is very good. I got the hibachi chicken and a rainbow roll to share with friends. The chicken was very good and they actually give you enough white sauce with your meal and plenty of rice. Definitely worth a try and a really comfortable environment

Such a fun restaurant for the whole family. Great service and the food was good! All the flavors were spot on for Japanese cuisine. We sat at the hibachi table and our boys(20 months and 3.5 years) giggled and were throughly entertained by the show. The restaurant was very clean. Overall a great restaurant!

I went here spur the moment tonight and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been goin here off and on for the last 10 years and they never let me down! The outside will fool you into thinking its a dingy place but once inside you’ll be at ease. Don’t judge a book by its cover. Keep up the awesome work

Where to start off… We were a party of 8 and only three of us were there. Our waitress was prompt with our drinks but she seemed lost. She wanted us to order before the rest of our party arrived. We decided to get a sushi roll to start off with and didn’t seem to understand we wanted at as an appetizer and kept asking us to order. When we finally received our sushi roll we asked for small plates so we all didn’t have to eat off the same plate… She only brought 2 for the 3 of us. By this time the rest of our party had arrived and were beginning to sit down. Again the waitress pushed for our food order without even taking their drink order. We get their drinks ordered and then we order food. The waitress first brought out the soups and salad and made us pass everything down like an assembly line which wouldn’t have been a problem if she actually couldn’t get behind some of us but this was just pure laziness. Every time we needed a drink refill it was like pulling teeth. Now half of us work in the service industry so we understand the difficulties BUT we were the only table in the restaurant until the end of our meal. After we finished our entrees(the food was good and hot) we even stacked up our plates and she just left them on the table as we were being served dessert. On top of that we asked for forks to eat dessert and never got any which resulted in us having to steal rolled silverware off of other preset tables. Honestly service was laughable and that’s exactly what we did.

Don’t judge the outside! The inside is clean and professional! Service was great, food was great. In and out at lunch within 1 hour.

I really like this place, the Hibatchi is great! Can’t speak for the rest of the menu but if this place was in Raleigh I would much rather go here than Kanki. Great steaks, even better portions, cheap drinks, love it!

This place sucks, please do not waste your time. We got seated right away but our server did not come around for almost 20 mins and there wasn’t that many other customers in the restaurant. When the server finally came around, we placed our order and it took even longer for our food to come out. We did not receive our places or anything to eat with until we asked for it, AFTER the food arrive. Even worst, when we received our sushi, we realized that we did not receive half our order and they had to take the plate back so that they could finish our order. Overall we had a horrible experience, the waiter was slow and unhelpful, the service was slow and evidently not up to par. We will not return and normally we don’t complain, but it was so bad we had to leave a review.

Food was good. We ate sushi. Atmosphere is lacking, but I will return! Take out possibly!

Upon dining a second time, even with good service and good prices, the food is just okay. Not worthy of four stars.

They may not have the most exciting atmosphere but the food is great and inexpensive. The sushi is always fresh and looks pretty. It’s quick and the portions are large so we often opt for Mt Fuji when we are too hungry or busy to cook.

Second time here. First time was a disappointment because they don’t cook at your table and there aren’t many hibachi dinner options. The ginger dressing was also not what you’re used too. Second time for lunch hoping sushi would make up for it but that didn’t either. The hibachi lunch special came with more mushrooms than meat and because the table next to us ordered rice without egg, we also didn’t have egg. The rice was tasteless at that. Not coming back.

No at table cooking. Food was still fine, but we went for the experience, so kind of a bummer.

Not the usual«Americanized» Japanese steakhouse that you would have in mind, but there are several tables around the periphery as in a standard restaurant and myriad menu offerings(sushi, some Japanese and a good Thai menu as well). That said, the sushi offerings are decent but not very extensive, which is somewhat understandable for a town the size of F-V. The sushi was fresh and well prepared and nicely priced. Service was quite excellent, so I’ll be back for sure. I did not give the restaurant more than three stars simply because the offering of sushi was not very expansive and the restaurant — while clean — is not very razzle dazzle or comfy(more like a big banquet room with dark paint).

Love this place! Fun environment especially if you bring the kids. Good food and good service!
