I really wanted to like this place because their online ordering is top notch, but the salt, oh god the salt. The pizza was very very salty and might end up in the garbage instead of the fridge. Also I ordered mild wings, and instead got some kind of sweet BBQ that was very heavy.

The best large square pie I know of. Hard to believe they don’t make it in the Best NJ Pizza competitions???

The pizza here is very good. The place looks like a dive but every time I bring it somewhere people are like«where is this from, it’s so good». Square pie excellent.

Best pizza in the area I’ve had this far. Been living here for roughly a year and have tried plenty of places. Luigis quality and taste trumps everything else I’ve had. The way they season their pizza is very unique definitely out of the ordinary and everything I’ve had from them has been great.

I’m originally from NY and recently moved to the Aberdeen neighborhood. I was worried about the NJ pizza selection. There are a couple of pizza choices in the neighborhood including the well known Deninos. I recently tried Luigis and I was blown away!!! The pizza was absolutely delicious!!! So flavorful and it came hot right out of the oven taste!!! In my opinion Luigis blows all the other pizzerias in the neighborhood away! So happy to find delicious mouth watering pizza so close by!!!

Don’t be fooled by the retro atmosphere. Pizza is top notch. Worth the carbs! Quality cheese and crisp crust

Very picky when it comes to pizza and I recently moved to the area. I have tried various pizza places around but I was finally sold when I tried a slice of Luigis. Well seasoned, thin, and great tasting pizza.

Just moved to the and was looking for a pie that i could deal with.(We are from Brooklyn and anyone from Brooklyn just has to deal with pizza from anywhere else). The pizza arrived and the smell intrigued us, the look invited us, and then the taste hooked us. We found a pizzeria worthy of any Brooklyn pallet. Well done Luigi’s!

The rectangular pie is great. The mussels are super fresh and great too. The lunch specials are a great deal. The $ 2 delivery charge and a bit of inconsistent/bland dishes on occasion(chicken vodka sauce, fettuccini Alfredo) kept me from giving 5 stars but overall a very good spot.

Every time my son has a baseball game in this area I look forward to getting something new at Luigis. I highly recommend their vodka pizza, the Luigi special Italian sub, as well as the pepperoni knots. The staff takes my order immediately every time. I go to a lot of pizza places and this one is worth returning to every time I am close.

A great pizza place. I’ve been ordering out from them for many years and never have been disappointed. Their square pizza xl is the best to feed crowds. The thin crust is my favorite and what they are known for.

Recently moved to the area and on move in day I ordered a few pies in here for my movers to chow down on as a thank you. The pies were delicious everyone commented how flavorful they were. The service was very fast on a Sunday afternoon(memorial day weekend). I explained that I just moved in and they even brought plates and napkins for me. The delivery driver also explained that if I save my receipts I get a free pizza or something like that after 10! Definitely plan to order again.

I’m a New York Italian, just moved to the area after living in Staten Island, Morganville, West Long Branch, Oakhurst, Point Pleasant, and Howell. I have a slice a week at least for as long as I could remember… Pizza is my favorite and practically a food group in my family. Places like Joe Spanos(Point Pleasant), Pete and Eldas(Neptune), Cucina Alessi(Manalapan), Emilio’s(Howell); all deserve honorable mentions for readjusting my initial belief that good pizza does not exist in NJ.(Even spin offs of popular NY spots are a flop– blame the water) All of those great restaurants aside; a small storefront just South on 34 of the busy section of Aberdeen knocks them out of contention: This is the best tomato pie I’ve ever had, period. The rectangle pizza is #1. If you have taste buds and live in Monmouth County I urge you to try it. Even the pickiest of pallets dance in joy at Luigis sauce to cheese ratio, thin but chewy, seasoned crust — I don’t know how the owner and his team does it, but damn is it good.

I think their rectangular pie is incredible. Just good pizza, period. Nice, thin crust — mostly cheese and sauce, not doughy(the middle pieces are my favorite!). Have had chicken parm subs, eggplant parm subs — both good. Ordered chicken cutlet/fresh mozzarella/roaster pepper sub from their catering menu for a holiday party. Also good. Everyone enjoyed it. There’s a Luigi’s in Hazlet as well that some people confuse with this one. Their rectangular pie is excellent, too. I grew up in Jersey, moved to Rockland County, NY, for a while, and now I’m back to NJ. I don’t understand what New Yorkers are talking about when they say it’s hard to find good pizza in Jersey. I’ve seen that on a few reviews of local spots. I think Jersey’s pizza is just as good as NY. In NYC, I’ve had some pretty crappy pizza. Granted, there are amazing pizza spots in NYC, but there are a lot of shops making crappy, doughy pies these days. In Rockland County, as well, there were some crappy spots — but over the years, I finally found a few really amazing spots, too. But just for the record — there are a lot of great pizza spots all over NJ. Remember, there are a lot of Italians in this state, and a lot of people in NJ were from NY originally. So, it only makes sense that we have good pizza here, too — not just north Jersey, but central NJ and the shore, too. Not sure about the south/west part of the state.

Stop by this pizzeria since we were on our way to camping site near Jackson NJ. We had about 10 people in our group, we order 2x large pizza and 2x chicken parmigiana. Their piazza was a bit salty, as their hot sandwich was average, prices on the hot sandwich was a bit pricey $ 12.00 for a large sandwich and a large pizza was about $ 12.00 which was average pricing. Nothing to rave about This place, except the customer service was awesome

Very good pizza! It a regular slice(not thin-crust, brick oven or Neapolitan, etc.), but the crust is unique.

This is the best pizza I’ve had in the area. I got a plain large delivered. It’s about $ 11, plus $ 2 delivery charge. The crust is SO good. You can taste the yummy herbs they use, the cheese and sauce are great. Really really good. Also, the girl that picked up the phone was so sweet and patient, she was ready to tell me the entire menu over the phone. Mmmmm so happy I found this place :) *Edit: eat this pie while it’s fresh, it doesn’t reheat well

Drove from NYC(yes, a NYC pizza snob just slapped a 5-star on a Jersey pizza joint) to attend the Mayhem concert at PNC. We got there with a healthy supply of beverages but, low and behold, no food at all! I Unilocaled the word«delivery» and Luigis came up. I called the number, explained where I was in the parking lot(I happened to be the only car in a particular lot at that point), and the guy was happy to send a delicious sausage pizza and garlic knots to my car within 45 mins. Seeing the delivery car roll in was no less salvation than if I was stuck in a well and a fire truck came with a ladder. Thank you, Luigis for rescuing us from our hunger pit.
