I was driving through from Denver to Ohio for Christmas and broke down at the gas station next door at midnight. Luckily, this motel was just a parking lot’s walk away. Besides needing a room with no notice and not much money, I also had my two dogs with me. I was so excited that this place accepted pets with just a $ 10 additional fee. The room was only $ 46 for a King size bed. The room was on the first floor, which is very convenient when you have dogs. The room had a sliding glass door that opened to a grassy area that was good for letting the dogs out. Obviously, you can tell from looking at the place that it’s not going to be super nice. It was old and you could see the wear and tear, but actually everything was really clean. I didn’t use the shower, but it also looked old, but clean. The room had wifi, cable, a mini fridge, microwave, and I thought the bed was actually pretty comfy. I did see that they had a pool/hot tub, but I didn’t have time to check it out. The biggest surprise was their continental breakfast, served from 6 – 9:30. It consisted of cereal, toast, danish, muffins, biscuits and gravy, milk, and orange juice! It was actually really good! Another good thing is check-out isn’t until 11:30, so I was able to wait there most of the morning while my car was getting fixed. In summary, I think this place was as good as it gets for the price you pay.

It’s inexpensive… because it’s only 1 step up from sleeping outside. Seriously, the bed felt like a concrete floor. Ow. The bathroom was the size of a closet and the shower head was way lower than MY head. It looked sort of like a rest stop bathroom but in a hotel? I am giving this place two stars because of free internet and the really tasty Mexican restaurant next to the lobby. If budget is imperative, this place is ok!

This inn is also known as Americas Best Value Inn, and is located next to the Interstate on the North end of town. We booked a room with two queen beds that ran about $ 63 a night. The room had a small fridge and microwave which was nice. The room was dimly lit, and on the second floor. There is no elevator, so if you have mobility problems, get a first floor room. The best feature of the room was the patio, where you could go outside and sit on patio chairs, and watch the traffic on the Interstate. They do have free wireless, and cable TV. There is also an indoor pool in an adjacent building, which was well patronized.
