I want to like this place, I really do. But I feel like if you’re going to be a good bagel place in a non-bagel snob world(basically, anywhere outside NYC) than you need to have bagels that can stand on their own flavor wise. The Garlic Parmesan Bialy was decent texture wise(sturdy but chewy), but there was very little garlic or parmesan flavor. Granted, I should have tried another option, but I’ve had their Sun Dried tomato bagel before and it too was pretty plain in flavor. I like how they offer .50 cent bagels after 1 pm and the bagels have good size, but from what I’ve tried, the flavor just isn’t there.

Family owned. Everything is hand made. Wonderful chewy bagels & delicious coffee. They even have a snickerdoodle bagel. Hard to find way at the back of the plaza, so worth it.

Place is hidden in the back of the shopping center on Judge Ely. The bagel was very tasty & fresh. They had a good assortment of cream cheese spreads to the enhance the bagel.

The bagels are good enough but the business seems run very poorly. We’ve been in there three times and never had a good experience. Every time we’ve been there, despite the time of day, there was a very low supply of bagels. Some of the standards were simply gone. And the way they take orders and you pay is backwards. They ask what you want, ring everything up, and then get the bagels. Very odd. And then they do this bagging ritual that takes waaaaaaay to long. Throw bagels in a paper bag, ring it up and pay, walk out. Not so hard folks.

As I walk in door I was greeted, «Welcome to Bagels Heads Café.» I felt welcomed! I got to the counter two young gentleman asked me «Is this your first here?» Yes… I’m a first timer! So I’d ask one of them, «what kind of coffee would you recommend?» He recommended, «Café Royale. Espresso, honey, steamed half and half milk.» I really enjoyed it! Thank you mister Barista! The bagels that I got was, Everything with double cheese, Blueberry with strawberry cream cheese, and Plain(was for my son.) with double cheese. I love that it’s freshly baked daily, cream cheese is homemade, great customer service and organic coffee. Now where can you go wrong?! So… I’m definitely will be back here!

I tried Bagel Heads Café for lunch today. They are only open for breakfast and lunch(until 3pm). I ordered chicken salad on a garlic bagel with Cheetos and a soda. The bagel had great flavor and the chicken salad was pretty tasty but for this meal I spent almost $ 10. The sandwich comes with a side of chips or coleslaw and a dill pickle spear. There is a nice selection of bagel and cream cheese flavors. I didn’t try any of the coffee as I am not a coffee drinker. I will go again but most likely just to grab a bagel with cream cheese or one or the breakfast bagel sandwiches which are considerably less expensive. The bagels and cream cheese spreads are made in-house. At noon, there were only a few other people eating lunch. Maybe they are busy in the morning?

Organic coffee choices and staff, happy to be here, that know what they are talking about. Fresh bagel and cream cheese, breakfast served all day Sunday. Check it out. Keep this coffee shop on the hill open.

We were trying to decide on where to go for lunch when we saw their billboard and decided to give it a try. I am honestly impressed with the quality of the bagels that they make fresh DAILY! The menu has a good selection. I had the misfit turkey and my boyfriend made his own. I will definately come back to keep trying new things. So happy we have a bagel place in town!

As a native Abilenian, I have been waiting for a good coffee shop on the the North side of town! Good coffee(dark roast brew) and very good bagels. I got the Multi-grain with red raspberry shmear. They actually open pretty early at 6:30 which is great for me.

Finally! A coffee shop near ACU! I had a sun dried tomato bagel with onion chive cream cheese. The bagel was ok, but the cream cheese is great! BHC has a full service coffee bar and a large open seating plan. The espresso is tasty and my latte was made well. There are two four top tables, a big round chair, and a leather couch with power plugs nearby. No WiFi yet, but a nice place to sit and work if you don’t need the Internet/can hotspot your phone.
