This place was amazing and surpassed my expectations. Everything was super fresh. The salsa that came with my rancheros was steaming fresh with the perfect amount of fresh stewed sliced jalapeños in it too. When we left, I noticed that what I ate left a good taste in my mouth as well. Extraordinary experience.

Sooooo good. I had tamale plate with beans & rice, authentically delicious. Husband had chorizo & egg burrito, yummy. In a pretty shady part of town, so worth it.

Great simple food at an affordable price. I had the carne guisada burrito and my husband had the gordita plate, both tasted fresh and delicious. The carne guisada was tender and the sauce was some of the best I have tasted.

Love the bacon/egg burrito and hot sauce. Never get anything else, however, I’m sure it’s all awesome. Good things come to those who wait.

Great place to satisfy the craving for a authentic Mexican burrito. They are normally very tasty. Most days they are outstanding… on occasion they are just average but even on their average days — it is better than most.

Love love love their homemade tortillas. Their breakfast burritos are particularly yummy because of the tortilla. My hubby stops here just to get me homemade tortillas – but eat them up in a few days, because they don’t have all the preservative crap they put on store tortillas. They are fresh, but due mold in 3 – 5 days, so eat them up!

This one of my regular stops at least every other day somedays the food is excellent and somedays not so… Also they need a better system when it comes to taking orders i have observed so much confusion between customer at the counter and drive thru… its allright for the most part im usually able to get in and out quick… Also this the Original Hernandez Bakery… 2 of the pics are from Alfonso Hernandez which is on Butternut which is not the same bakery FYI!!!

One of my favorite spots in Abilene, Texas. This is very traditional Mexican– Tex Mex food. The prices for the food is good and it’s just good. You must stop there to eat.

I had the gordita plate and was surprised to see how big the gorditas were! They were not deep fried like at other places and they came 2 to an order. I ordered the carne con chile verde gordita and the chicharron gordita and both were phenomenal especially the carne con chile verde. The rice reminded me of my moms and the beans made me want to lick the plate. Everything was so awesome!!!

Great carne guisada.(spelling?) The drive-thru staff are annoying. They act like you are bothering them.

supposedly a partner of La Popular who took the recipes. there is no such thing as loyalty. the locals eat at which ever one is close. I think they might have opened another one somewhere else. everything is good.
