Fish platters over breaded. Crab cakes were a joke. Just flavored stuffing. Expensive and not good. Off our list.

I have been eating at Harbor House for as long as I can remember. Best ranch dressing I’ve ever tasted. Salads are always great and plentiful. The seafood is always tasty, my favorite is the broiled shrimp. A few of the waitresses have been working there for a while and greet you with a smile. My kids always enjoy looking at the aquariums in front. Bathrooms are small and outdated but I can’t ever remember them being dirty. Prices are fair.

I stopped at this restaurant on the way home to Knoxville. Don’t bother. My baked potato was not fresh and fluffy. It was old and gummy and not hot. The server brought another one out it was in the same condition. My server said it happens a lot. I ordered the broiled scallops and they were way over cooked. Although my sever was nice and accommodating, this restaurant was way below average. Save your money. This is the type of restaurant Robert Irvine needs to come in and fix.

Visited this place and found it very mediocre. The best were the fried green tomatoes, but throughout my visit I was looking at Burger King across the street and I wished I was there. If you like deep fried fish this may be your place, but it turned my stomach.

I’ve been coming to Harbor House for nearly 10yrs now. It’s not far from work and it’s the most affordable option for seafood unless you want Long John’s.(eeek) The food is good. Typical seafood menu, most of the items are fried. A few broiled. Nice size portions and reasonable prices. Their hush puppies is probably one of my favorites. The fried fish was a little disappointing on my last visit. It looked delicious and good size just sitting there. But when I broke into it, it had shrunk, was overcooked, and had way more breading than fish. This place is located in what(I believe) used to be a steak house. The atmosphere really doesn’t feel like your typical seafood house. Kinda large and empty. Always looks clean when I visit, so no complaints. Overall HH is a decent seafood joint, its not 5 star by any means, but its good and better than the fast food option for almost the same price.

I gotta give this place some props. It’s not a glamorous looking place, but don’t judge a race car by how much noise it makes. This turned out to be a very pleasant, classic, American«hole in the wall» restaurant. As a previous reviewer posted, fried food is king here. I avoided that fate by ordering the Rib Eye and Scallops(the scallops broiled). This place serves plenty of food; you won’t feel cheated. The steak was, okay big enough for the price, and reasonable quality. The order came with six medium sized scallops. In addition were onion rings, two slices of Texas toast, and the baked potato with all the condiments. Top that off with excellent service(every time I drank my water down two inches, she was back to fill it up), and you have the makings of a 4-star restaurant!

Amazing value for their crab plate($ 20 for«a pound to a pound and a half» but clearly much more!). The hush puppies were tasty… an interesting spongy texture. Looked like and tasted like a cross between a donut and onion ring. This place is a good option for road warriors!

im not sure what to expect when you have a seafood restaurant all the way out here. regardless, me and a few coworkers had to come down for training, and the place was right next to our hotel. its a good thing i liked fried foods. almost everything was fried or broiled. the portions were huge, and everything wasn’t bad. their homemade hush puppoes look like onion rings, apparently they make them with a donut machine, which was interesting. be warned, the places closes at 8pm and theres no alcohol. i repeat, no alcohol.
