New Look Refinishing

We had this company come in and paint our yellow bathroom tiles white. We were away when they did the job but were very pleased with the results when we got home. On closer inspection, however, we noticed that they had missed many areas of the grout on one wall of the shower, so those spots appear grayish compared to the rest of the white-​painted grout. After emailing and calling several times, they finally agreed to come out and see what I meant. After seeing what it was, he fixed a few spots but said he couldn’t do all of the places I referred to. Instead, he left me small bottles of paint to do it myself. Um, thanks. They do a nice job overall, but be sure you inspect closely before they leave.

We have a pretty standard 5 foot tub that used to be white sometime back in the ‘80s. When our building was converted to condos, the developer did everything half-​assed and used a DIY refinishing kit from a big-​box store, which was flaking off all over the tub. (If you’re thinking of using a DIY kit, don’t.)
These guys grind off the old coating, and airbrush on the new stuff. There’s an optional non-​slip coating they can put on the bottom, which is great. The process takes about 2 and a half hours, but the smell takes about 12 hours to completely dissipate, so maybe go out to dinner or something afterward. The tub is usable after 24 hours.
I was referred to this company when another refinisher had to cancel for a family emergency. New Look was able to accommodate the last minute schedule, and the tub looks a million times better than it used to.
More importantly, however, is their customer service. There was a small issue with the installation that I noticed a few hours after the install. I left a voicemail for them that night, expecting I’d have to re-​schedule someone to come out in a week or so. Instead, they had someone there the next day to fix everything up. I can’t think of the last time I had a 12 hour turnaround time on customer service. That’s the kind of thing that will ensure I recommend this company to my friends.
