Hangtime bar and grille has an extensive menu that goes far beyond what you would expect from your average bar/grill. It’s one of the most gourmet bar menus I have ever seen. Everything is delicious from the to-die-for Lamb Oso Buco to the simple hot and honey tails. The staff was all super friendly. They truly make you feel like home when you go in there. The only problem I had at this place was trying to find the room in my stomach to try more items.

Love the drinks and food. Great place to hang. Bartenders and waitstaff are attentive and friendly. Wings and flatbreads are my favorites.

On recommendation from the staff at Holiday Inn Express, I decided to check this place out for dinner while in town for business. I am sure glad I did. The ambiance is very nice and low key, great for the traveller dining alone. I sat in the bar, where they had a great happy hour from 4 – 7, that included drinks and appetizer items. The Mussels Fra Diavalo were outstanding! Perhaps the best combo of good seafood and a great sauce(if you like spicy). The Ribeye French Dip didn’t quite live up to the billing(still a 3), but for $ 8 it isn’t bad either. Others around me had good things to say about both the Pizza and tacos.

Went for happy hour. The $ 5 food specials were good. Started with the mussels which were tasty. The sauce was a little greasy but still good. The drink specials were nicely priced. Also had the whisky shrimp which was really good. Service was so so. Could use improvement there. The place itself is really nice inside and I like the way the TVs are placed inside the bar for maximum viewing. Overall i’d give it 3 ½ stars.

Nice selection of beers kept me from giving this place a lower rating. Service was fine. Menu looked like someone had pulled together a nice selection of tasty items; however, that was not the case. The clam appetizer included extremely stale bread, and the clams were very chewy. The caesar salad was supposed to have homemade dressing, but that was not the case. Mediocre food, at best. I will not return.

Good, reasonably priced wine and beer selection. My friend said the jalapenos on her nachos tasted like butt though. We also ordered a margarita pizza and received what we think was just a regular pizza with strips of basil thrown on it… UMMM Despite its proximity to Stockton University, this place seems to cater to the older crowd. We were easily the youngest ones there and we went the night before Halloween which is when all the youths go out.

Came in tonight for dinner and the food was standard. Not great or bad just in between. Ordered fra diablo mussles($ 5). They were ok. I had a beer on tap($ 5) and a well drink($ 4.50). Well drinks are house booze mixed how you like. Not sure what house booze means. I got a rum and coke with more coke than rum. Overall, not spectacular, but the menu had no standouts that made me want to stay and eat dinner.

Stayed a night in Absecon and had dinner here and was very pleased. It’s a very nice building with comfortable seating. Good looking bar. I can’t remember the name of my sandwich but it was turkey with broccoli rhab. It was delicious. The fries are house made and also great. My fiancé’s tomato soup had too much cream however but that was the only negative thing about our stay. Would definitely go back.

It was nice inside, however service was really slow. The food was fair. My steak panini was fatty dried out meat & soggy bread. My husband had s burger, the roll was definitely not fresh, it was cracking and falling apart. I ordered one of the drinks on the menu, it was small & mostly juice. Don’t live around here, so not ever going back

Me and the hubster stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and needed something to eat. Hang Time was a local spot, close and convenient. I wanted something comforting and homey while my other half wanted easy eats. I had the Trio Grilled Cheese with tomatoe soup. The grilled cheese was exactly what I wanted and comforted me in the best way possible. I did not however taste the difference in cheeses. The tomatoe soup was good but was a little bit on the sweet side. Less sweetness and a little more tomatoe tartness next time please! Ribs for some reason paired really well with the spinach crab dip. The ribs were tender, moist and fell right off the bone, although it was a little bit too sweet for me(again). The spinach crab dipped was delish and we would definitely be back to try other items on the menu. Now. we came here around 10PM although they close at 2AM. My first impression of our waiter upon entering did not feel too welcoming. Theres a separate room for the bar and dining area and either he was the only staff from rotating the bar area and dining area which can be stressful or I have no idea what it was. He checked up on us once and when we left he was standing there chatting to another coworker and did not even itch for recognition upon our departure. It made me feel like a bothersome. I will definitely give this place another shot when in the area because I love the décor, food, cleanliness, modernization of the place but I am hoping that the staff will be a tad more friendlier and inviting. Definitely will update this review on our next visit and hoping to bump it up to 5 stars!

Good service but the food is bland and the back of the house is slow. Took 40 mins to get our meal. I probably won’t return.

The food was about average, the beer list was good, and our service was really bad. We had the crab tostada and the meat lovers pizza. The pizza was decent and the crab tostada was a little bland but okay. After approximately 20– 30 minutes without seeing him, we had to flag him down to order desert and once again to get the check. Once he dropped off the card, he said nothing to us. No goodbye or thank you. The restaurant wasn’t that busy and when we were leaving, we saw him standing by the bar and it looked like he was watching a game. To be fair, I’m not sure how long this was happening or if he was waiting for a drink. Regardless, it was the worst service we’ve had in a long time.

The menu is very unique and it includes a lot of seafood appetizers! I had the spinach crabmeat dip and it was amazing! Definitely recommend & the prices are decent as well(usually $ 8 – 9 for appetizer or burger)

Ate here last night. The food and the atmosphere was great. Our waiter was very observant and polite. For the appetizer we had the crab avocado tostadas, which was different, but very tasteful and light. Then my son had the Salmon BLT Sliders and I had the Sausage Rabe Melt. The only thing I would change is that they need bigger glasses for the sodas. We went through two glasses of root beer almost before the food actually came. Other than that, we’ll definitely come back to this restaurant/grill when we’re down in this area.

I enjoyed eating at Hangtime. The crab fries app was delicious. I also ordered the grilled salmon and that was tasty. The menu isn’t as big as I expected but there’s enough to satisfy everyone I believe. My friend wanted a chicken parm sandwich(they only have chicken parm with pasta on the menu) but the waitress was able to convince the chef to make one on bread. I thought that was a nice gesture. I would probably dine there again. Maybe during a sporting event since they have nice TVs.

We were looking for a place to eat in early September and came upon HangTime. The place was packed with people having a good time and there was live music on the deck. We ate at one of the tables around the bar, food and service were excellent. Found out that HangTime had only opened the end of August. We were passing thru this area this past week and decided to stop in again. It is easy to get to off the parkway! We were not disappointed. The Tuna appetizer was exceptional as well was the pulled pork sliders. We sat at the bar and Ashley knew in detail everything on the menu that we questioned. Ashley also had very accurate knowledge about the large selection of beers on tap. The prices are excellent and the décor is very tasteful. If you are in the area or just passing by, stop in, you will not be disapointed. It is also open late!

This place isn’t what you would expect from a bar in Absecon; it’s décor is warm and inviting, they have a great TV setup around their bar, and their food is fresh and fantastically priced. With many craft beers, Hang Time is a beer drinker’s haven. Their staff is quick on the draw, and management is always there to ensure a pleasant experience.
