Raquel’s Home And Garden

Raquel’s is a must-​stop if you’re wandering around Smithville Village. This store is abundantly stocked despite the space constraints — and they fit a lot in – so expect close quarters.
You’ll find a host of seasonal gift and home selections here, so right now they’re all decked out for the fall holidays. I found a really great mask to add to my collection for only $ 16. Absolutely planning to wear it on Halloween, too! I also grabbed a little hollow pumpkin with handles for my desk at work.
They have a nice area (kind of near the back) that has nicely scented lotions and sprays. Always great to have on hand or give as gifts!
Staff here is crazy friendly. I believe it was Raquel who opened a closet to let me use the mirror in there to see what the mask looked like while on. She even grabbed some other masks and brought them over. I thought that was so nice.

Nice place to pick up a thoughtful gift or something nice for your own home.
About half of the store is dedicated to candles and incense. There carry a number of premium candle brands including their own in-​store make. They also have an array of home décor items from small accent pieces to large wall art.
I’ve bought a number of gifts from Raquel’s and the owner — Raquel — is always extremely friendly and helpful. She has a knack for wrapping up items so they look fantastic.
Another great thing about this shop is they adjust their inventory on a seasonal basis, so much of the candle scents and décor items will match the current season.
Stop in if you’re walking through the village, or if you’re local and need to get a nice housewarming gift.
