Great little shop. They have a very unique array of choices of quilting and other fabrics, accessories and kits. The staff is wonderful and unobtrusively helpful. They are knowledgeable and seem always upbeat whenever I have been in. Definitely worth visiting if you are a serious quilter or a casual seamstress.

Amazing selection. This store really has vetted all the new fabrics and they are buying the most stylish prints and collections for us. This is no Walmart fabric aisle, this is carefully selected crafting with modern style. I always love what I find there, and when you fall in love with one pattern, they make it easy to match with supporting fabrics. Always great stuff, always new designs, always good gift packages and grab and go pre-cuts. Not only are there fabulous designs for your major projects, there is also gorgeous and soft(minkee and flannels, etc) to complete your project. I was sad to see them leave west concord but I’ve really grown to love their new Acton location. The other stores in the mall really complement it. Coffee, candies, lunch, clothing… All great shops and worth the drive. I drive over 40 minutes to get there now. It’s a must, they are the best around and no one can compete with their fabrics. Whoever is doing the shopping is doing it SORIGHT.

I’ve visited quilters way a few times, and have loved the things that I purchased from there. The last time I was in, I saw some small pillows and asked about the pattern. The employee there told me they were made with the Honey Bun pattern, and she could easily special order it for me. I paid for my other items, and they said they would call when it was in. No need to pay then. Got a call that it was in, and drove back over to pick up the pattern. The owner of the shop handed me the pattern and it looked different than the pillows in the store. I asked and she said it YES, it was different, that this pattern was for much bigger floor pillows. The pillows that I had seen were not from a pattern, but something they had just whipped up at the store. She tried to sell me on this pattern and I said I would walk around and think about it. But I didn’t want a pattern for large floor pillows! I picked up a few small precut fabric pieces to buy, and mulled it over. I really did not want to make larger floor pillows. It simply wasn’t what I had asked for. I went to the register to pay and told the owner of the shop that I would pass on the pattern, but would be purchasing a few other small items. She then proceeded to give me a lecture on how they don’t appreciate it when people special order items and then don’t buy them. I kindly explained to her that the employee that was in the last time told me that this was the pattern for the store pillows, and said it was no problem to special order. She continued to say that since I had been through this now once, that I would now know, and she would still appreciate if I didn’t special order things in the future. At that point I said that I would just pay for it, if it would make her feel better, even though I would not be using it. She said no. She finally ended by saying something like«Well I guess it was the fault of the person who ordered it for you then.» I was really put off by this. I was not going to pay for something that was not what they said it was, just because another employee had been mistaken. The pattern in question was $ 12.95. The fabric I was purchasing right then and there was $ 17. I was still spending money in her shop. I am generally very polite person, but I was not going to take being spoken to like a child, or lectured on something that was not my error. I’m actually sad because I really did like this shop, but I will not be going back to Quilter’s Way. It was very awkward, and I would not look forward to running into the owner again. If she is willing to lose business over $ 12.95, and the opportunity to lecture someone, then she can fee free to continue to be snarky and rude to her customers.

What a great shop! Very knowledgeable, very pleasant, very patient staff cheerfully answer questions and offer suggestions(in person and over the phone) without once talking down to this raw novice. I’m not a quilter; I wanted to scope out the store and staff in contemplation of taking a dressmaking class they offer and I am impressed! I look forward to the class and will update my review then. In the meantime, go and see for yourself!

I almost had my husband convinced that I should go to the Quilter’s Way Weekend Retreat, until we remembered that we live in Illinois. I think I still have the flyer in my honeymoon box of stuff. I wish this shop was in IL. It was a very cool shop. It had a large selection of patterns and fun fabrics — some of which I had only seen online. Everyone was friendly, and the sale selection was good. The place was pretty busy on the Saturday I was there, which is always a good sign. Everyone there seemed like they were friends, but in a good, inclusive way, not a snobby, let me out of here, way. Oh, and they have a little sitting area in the front, which my husband greatly enjoyed. He even found a quilt pattern for me.
