Great service. Great food. Great location. This is a real treat on «Burger Wednesday». I strongly recommend the SouthWest burger. You can’t go wrong with guacamole, jalapeños, bacon, pepper jack and chipotle ranch. The fries are good too.

I’ve been here quite a few times over the years. Not the best burger in town, but defiantly not the worse either. On Wednesdays for lunch they have select burgers that you can get for $ 5 it also includes seasoned fries. My favorite part about eating here is that they have Boar’s Head jalapeño pepper sauce on the tables. DELUCIOUS!

We’re visiting our hometown for the holidays, clearly in our 30s, and now live out-of-state. We have been loyal customers forever. The store flat out refused to sell us alcohol on a Saturday afternoon because, «they’d been burnt by an undercover cop in the past,» and would not accept an out-of-state ID. It was a terrible welcome home.

My search continues for the perfect hot dog & shredded beef wet burrito in GR. But, I did find a GREAT Deli yesterday! We were headed to Fallasburg Park just outside of Lowell yesterday & stopped to O’brien’s Market Place & Deli in Ada. They have an extensive sandwich menu board or you can make up your own. I found the menu board hard to read so I made up my own. I’m partial to Rye bread so I elected to «Build my own». Rye, roast beef, pepper jack, L &T, and their«Horseradish Sauce». It was GREAT& had the other half for dinner — it was so big! If you like Zingerman’s in Ann Arbor — you’ll like O’brien’s just as well! Also had a side of their«Caprese Salad» & Italian Pasta Salad” - OHMY! All I can say is «Go there ~ you’ll like it»!!

I heard a lot about this place and had some high expectations. I was a little disappointed at what they had to offer. The meat counter looked good they had some really nice looking steaks I will give them that. I just thought they would carry some specialty food items a few types of craft root beer or other things of that nature. If you are in Ada and need a steak head to Obrien’s need anything else try a local supermarket

They have the best sandwiches in GR and Burger Wednesday is the best deal in GR. A great burger and fries for $ 5.00.

I had the halibut sandwich and the clam chowder. I liked both! Soup was creamy and had big chunks of potatoes and a lot of Clams. The sandwich was fresh, loved the coleslaw and the batter on the fish was good too. Nice portions. Very nice guys too.

I have really like everything that I have gotten at O’Briens. The wait for your order usually seems pretty long but the food makes up for it. I would recommend the burgers(call ahead on burger Wednesday) and the wraps are very good as well. Today I got the fish sandwich and was very disappointed(not in the taste, it was delicious) because I barely had any fish on the fish sandwich. It covered up maybe half of the bun. So it was mostly a tomato, lettuce, and mayo sandwich. I asked why there was hardly any fish and was told that they put less fish on the sandwich because it was a special. Sounds like the opposite of a special to me. The half of the sandwich that did have fish was so good tho!

A pleasant surprise. As the other reivews note, Wednesday is $ 5.00 burger day. The buns are bakery fresh, nice and crispy outside, and soft inside. The meat was fresh, and I understand all the sandwiches come with fresh cut Boar’s Head deli meats! I also enjoyed the fries! Plus outdoor seating in nice weather makes this place a don’t miss!

Burgers and A1 steak wrap are the best! Their house made layered Mexican dip is great too! As for a grocery stop, it’s pricey. For beer and food? Great!

We stop in here for lunch on occasion. I still have yet to find anything that really wow’s me. This last time I got an olive burger. The burger was a tad over cooked and they didn’t season it as it cooked. It just never tastes the same if you have to after the fact. The bun was nice and soft, I did enjoy that. I’m sure I’ll go back because my coworkers like it, but it would not choose to go there on my own. Its just good enough that I won’t complain if we go.

You know those weird looking grocery stores people in horror movies always stop at before heading out to a disastrous camping trip? The ones in the middle of nowhere that usually have a creepy old man who warns them all not to go on the campsite? That’s kind of what this place reminds me of… but with automatic doors. And a lot less run down. But it gives off that vibe. Forget the grocery part. That’s not why we’re here. In the back you’ll find some of the best damn sandwiches you’ve ever had made hot and fresh for you. While the atmosphere may leave a little bit to be desired, they more than make up for it with their awesome food. Besides, when you’re eating here you’re rubbing shoulders with the blue collar workers and farmers from surrounding areas. It’s a good thing. All the sandwiches, to my knowledge, are made with Boar’s Head sandwich meats. You can’t get much better than that, man. It’s kinda like Zingerman’s Deli right here in our Grand Rapids area. But not quite. Quality ingredients make these some of the best damn things you’ll have made for you. Pricing is about typical for a «real» restaurant. But, again, with the quality it’s not an issue. I’d guess the average price of a sandwich here to be about $ 7. A sandwich can easily be split between two people for satisfying(but not overly so) lunch. Especially if you’re shring those chips too. I’m seeing a lot of stuff on here about their burgers, which I’ve never had. I guess that’s something for next time I’m in here. Anyway, cop a sandwich from here. You won’t be sorry.

O’briens has the best SouthWest Burger in North America hands down. I was in GR for 4 weeks for work and my coworkers and I went there 6 times just to get the burgers. Andddd… on Wednesday’s, their Burgers come with Fries for $ 5. I wish they opened up a burger chain in Chicago because no other burger compares. I mean, the bun is so flakey and buttery and the meat is seasoned perfectly and the toppings are elite. P. S. the Fries are mouth watering.

The food here is amazing. The wait time isn’t the best(usually busier on Wednesdays with their $ 4 burger deal) but if you call in early enough and ask them to have something done 5 minutes before you plan on picking it up, it will be there. Great portions, great value, great taste.

Great place to get lunch, but not if you’re in a hurry. I would say Wednesday is the worst day to go because of the burger special and long wait. The food is great however and they have a nice deck so you can eat outside in warm weather!

You wouldn’t expect it but this place actually serves up a pretty decent burger and fries and has a pretty big deli sandwich menu. I haven’t tried any of the sandwiches but I went this week and tried a «Rodeo Burger». What was served to me was a HUGE burger(1⁄3 lb) piled with cheese, lettuce, onion rings, tomato, and ranch dressing. Yum. The fries were nice and crispy too. I’ll definitely be back… **Bonus — On Wednesday all their burgers and fries are $ 4.00. Good Deal!

This place is great — great food and large portions. Although I’ve never actually been on location, the delivery service is perfect for ordering from my office. There’s something for all those hungry co-workers in your noon meeting sure to leave everyone satisfied. Of note: They always over-quote the time it will take to deliver your food order, no matter the size. It’s always over about 20 – 30 minutes. Keep in mind: Wednesday is a big day for O’Brien’s — I think they feature a special called ‘Burger Wednesday’ or something like that. Not a good idea to place a last-minute lunch order on Wednesday at 11:45 expecting it by noon.
