While moving cross-country, I experienced car trouble outside this small town in Iowa. I was referred to Craig’s by the manager of the local Super 8(very nice guy) who called Tim, a mechanic at Craig’s. Tim agreed to take a look at my car at 6pm, even though the shop was already closed; and when I brought the car back the following morning, Tim told me I needed a new catalytic converter. SInce my car is a Land Rover and there was no one within 100 miles who carried the part(and I’d have to wait several days for one to be delivered), Tim spent several hours welding the part back together himself so that I could continue on to Omaha. What happened? I made it from Adair all the way to Los Angeles without incident, and three weeks later my car still runs fine. Tim is a miracle worker! Sure, I’ll eventually need to replace the part, but Tim was able to get my car back on the road so I could make it safely to my destination – at about one tenth of the cost of a new Land Rover transmission. Thank you Tim & Craig’s Automotive!
