The best part of CJ’s is it’s patio. The servers try hard, but the service isn’t very good, and the food is pretty unappealing. If you are looking for a cheap beer and some decent french fries while you watch a football game, this place is great. If you’re looking for a good meal, search elsewhere.

CJ’s is definitely a somewhat odd place(due to its interior décor), but if you are a cyclist or are using the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail in any way, it is a must visit. For one, it is in a beautiful old passenger rail station that has been converted into a bar. Obviously, it is directly on the railtrail, right near the end of the trail in Adams. And it has a bike rack for the numerous cyclists that visit the pub. Second, it has a gigantic patio jutting out on the railtrail, with umbrellas over the tables. On a nice day, this is the place to be to enjoy some drinks. Getting to the drinks, the prices are extremely reasonable. A 20oz PBR was $ 2.40 the last time I was there, and the food is also very inexpensive. The food is better than average pub fare. I love the boneless buffalo tenders, which are made from real white meat, with a nice, authentic buffalo sauce. They’re fantastic. The chili was good, and the burger sliders are excellent. I’ve never had a problem with any food served here. The coffee, however, is a disaster. They basically don’t make it, and if you get it, it’s served in an irish coffee glass and looks like tea(i.e., very weak). Avoid, if you can. Service is excellent and friendly. The general cleanliness of the place is definitely a bit below average(it could use a good dusting), but otherwise serviceable. The décor is very«eclectic»(i’m being a bit polite). It wants to be a sports pub, but really it just comes off as kind of cluttered. It would be better served by just being clean and neat.

A dive a bar. «The best food in adams»? Lol, maybe if you are a crackhead and used to eating food made specifically for homeless people and soup kitchens. Just your typical dive bar with typical pub food.

Low prices, excellent drinks, always a good crowd and good wings. The waitresses are not friendly, but food is good.

The food here is always good. Pub fare, burgers wings etc along with entrée specials from seafood to prime rib. Cozy local place in a converted train station. My only complaint would be that the beer always seems a bit flat. Some beers really need a bit of ahead on them.
