Stopped here a few years ago on our way to camping trip. LOVED it — good food at good prices. Tried again the next year & were disappointed to find that they only do breakfast & lunch; we were too late. :(Hit them up for lunch last week on the way up to the Adirondaks.
Nothing fancy. It’s an old train depot which is cool. Several RR employees were there, as well as other locals (I’m assuming since waitress knew by name.) Good impression when I see lots of locals at a place.
So. If on your way to or from 1000 Islands or Adirondaks region, why do a rest stop or chain when you can support a great local place? Exit 42 off Route 81.
