Beckert Park

Awesome idea of having cinema in the circle. Only problem is it said it starts at 9 but that is not correct. I think it may start at 8 or 8:30. They have good choices of movies.

We went here for Salsa night and it was tons of fun. There was a live band playing salsa, meringue, and cumbia music as people were dancing on the unpaved pathway in front of the stage and all along the park. It was a good atmosphere because families were out there with lounge chairs, blankets, food, and drinks. It’s free of admission and you can park in the garage across from the park. I do recommend bringing bug spray because we got bit a few times. It is neat to see that a city will put on a spectacle such as this because the park was completely packed with smiling faces.

July Jazz in the park every Saturday in, well duh, in July! =) I will advice to get there early because it does fill up pretty quickly. Bring your blanket, picnic basket and wine or liquor ;) You can even bring your dog. Enjoy!

This is a nice park in the center of Addison Heights area with a view of zen surrounded by local residents and tasty eatries. We decided to venture out one Saturday after being invited to a Salsa/​Dance concert here at Beckert Park. The event was entertaining but the big lotus bugs flying around made it hard to enjoy it. After a while of fighting with the big bugs I don’t think we’ll be coming back here for a whie. The bugs can have it! UGH!
FYI: If your into Salsa/​Music they have it here every Saturday @ 7:00pm in August.

What a wonderful place to stroll! I took my 1 year old on a bike ride yesterday and we ended up here. This park is huge– there were at least four different groups working out, a photo shoot and several joggers. There’s even a fountain feature for the midgets! I suggest you get outside and enjoy this space soon!
