Not honest operators. Went in to get 2 blades sharpened. Insisted i put down a $ 40, plus tax deposit on service that was only supposed to cost $ 23. Came to pick up the mower and both blades had been replaced, supposedly because they were both bent, Plus they charged $ 12.50 for installation — which was surprising considering the difference between removing the blades yourself and bringing them in or letting them take the blades off to sharpen them is only $ 3. Surprise. Surprise. The charge ate up my entire $ 43 credit and then some. Never even called to give me the go ahead to replace the blades. I won’t be going back.

Most complete offering of yard equipment in Dallas… This is the place to go to see the largest selection of yard equipment in Dallas and is heavily frequented by professionals of the trade. They carry Echo, Stilh, Huskavarta, Honda, Yamaha and a couple lesser known brands. Plus, their depth of types of tools across these brands is something you’re not going to see anywhere else. I’ve found their equipment to be competitively priced to other big box locations and to prices on the internet. In supporting this locally owned family run business I’ve purchased an Echo shrub trimmer, Echo edger, Echo string trimmer and a Stilh extension tree trimmer. I’ve also had my equipment serviced here. Joel is the second generation owner and is a fair and reasonable guy. Their sales staff have been helpful in picking the right tool for the job. They are located on Midway just north of Beltline.

Sales and Service leaves a lot to be desired. Have bought two Honda mowers and one Husqvarna chain saw from them over the years. Service — even in the off peak time of the year(DEC/JAN) the repair will not be done when promised. Based on two repairs. However, the parts guys are extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They usually have the part on-hand. Prices are not cheap. Highly recommend for parts.

Pretty«meh» experience. Brought in two dead line trimmers. My goal was to have them look at both, decide which was an easier fix, sell them the other for scrap, and walk away with one functional trimmer. They didn’t want the worse one for scrap, which was fine. The guy did try to sell me a new trimmer though… I guess he has to earn his commission. As for the one they did take for repair, they charged me $ 43 to keep it for two weeks before deciding they couldn’t even get the bolts off to get it open. I thought two weeks was a long time to figure that out, and $ 43 was a lot for them not to do anything and give me back a broken trimmer.

Rarely is the service completed anywhere close to the promise date(expect weeks longer than promised) service isn’t thorough(expect to return with problems not solved). Staff is typically rude and known for it by their regulars. Seems people will put up with a lot to get their equipment fixed. Parts staff are pretty efficient if they have it in stock. they do have an extensive stock– another reason customers deal with the negativity and lack of respect they are treated with. Eds isn’t very excited about doing warranty work and consistently complained about the vendors they do warranty work not covering repairs. This is one of those rare businesses that has been around long enough they think they can be rude to their customers and it won’t matter. Maybe they are right. I can only tell you that there are other vendors that treat their customers better I suspect many people are like me. I might have to go back there to get a part or something, but it will be the last place I go, not the first. And buying equipment from them, no I don’t want to be tied to Eds for the warranty they so much don’t want to fulfill. My best guess is the owner is no longer involved and doesn’t care. Possibly some of the employees are family .That might explain the lack of respect they give their customers. Be aware of it going in(no help they answer the phone while you stand there with equipment, sometimes the don’t say a word and act as if you aren’t there, then comes the disparaging remarks about your equipment you foolishly bought from someone else… that probably doesn’t work with them on there warranties. Even though they are an authorized service facility. Keep your eyes and ears open, you will hear these types of rudeness feel free to tell them you won’t be spoken to that way and you want to take it anywhere but to them. They act as if you are their problem when you arrive. Let them know you will take your problem elsewhere, were you are treated with respect and with that respect you will gladly make the vendor grow and prosper as company with good customer service do.

I had a chain saw, almost new, that I could not get the chain on. Called up the factory dealer in Richardson and was told it would cost $ 75 just to look at the chainsaw. Went to the factory dealer in Plano and they tried to fix it but could not as they did not have the right tool. They sent me to this shop who was also a factory dealer. The person in the repair shop looked at it and in two minutes had the chain back on the saw. I ask for the charge and he replied that it was so small that he would appreciate my being a customer and come back there the next time I needed equipment. I will do exactly that as he did not try to rip me off.

Bought a Toro mower here and after ten mows it wouldnt start. Brought it in and was told it was the carborator and that it wouldn’t be covered by warranty. Was told it was bad gasoline, although I had new gas in it. Was then told that I shouldn’t be using regular gasoline. Why wouldn’t they have told me that when I bought it. I have been mowing grass for a long time, many times with old mowers and old gas and have never had this problem. Ed’s acted as if it was my fault and took no responsibility. The mower is brand new! Would not recommend Ed’s.

Ordered some mower blades over two weeks ago. Told they would be about a week. Two weeks later still no blades and when I called to inquire this time they finally advised they had been back ordered but would be in today. Called again after finding them elsewhere and the parts girl was rude, no apology for poor communication. Not even the courtesy to say«good bye» before hanging up
