Nice place & not crowded. Food is typical french café

In a nut shell: Everything is fresh and the variety is outstanding. Delicious but definitely not healthy. We have been here a few times and had many items. There is no items we didn’t like and the list is long. Go with what sounds good and you won’t be disappointed. Don’t forget the fresh bread with homemade jelly as its great but don’t fill up on it as the food is plenty.

Many people view a salad as a vehicle for salad dressing, I am not one of those people. I prefer a salad with no dressing and I love that La Madeleine salads never make me rethink my preference. The Chicken, Bacon, and Blue salad is delicious, and the name of the salad is tells you all that is in it. The French onion and tomato basil soups are both delicious and hearty. I enjoy my salad choice as it keeps me on track, but when I’m looking to indulge, the croque monsieur is at the top of the list. I have yet to visit for brunch or dessert, but the options are tempting! I’ll have to make some time to try them. In other regions, Panera is my choice for the casual sandwich restaurant, but here in Dallas, La Madeleine wins hands down for quality of food, fabulous service, and comfortable atmosphere.

I’m no Francophile, but this was a very pleasant surprise for this first time La Madder! I didn’t realize the setup was more Panera(order and pay at counter; wait for food at table) than full-service but once I got past that hurdle, it was smooth sailing across the French Riviera. Le French toast was terrific, egg sandwich on a Croissant was great, and the Eggs Benedict also drew acclaim from King Louis XIV. La Madeleine offers free(buffet-style) bread and jam as well which is a nice touch while you wait for your meal. Surprisingly, the staff came by a few times to check on us. Best of all is the décor. You feel like you’re in a French cottage in the middle of nowhere with a fireplace and wood beams and the like making a great place to chill and sip hot chocolat on a cold winter’s day. Oui! Oui! Vive la révolutíon!

I am so used to mom and pop places that I forget to review«regular» businesses all the time! I really like La Madeleine. I have been to many locations and of course the food is consistent as the nice employees. Love to see happy people working! Also the overall ambiance is very French-y, I do feel I am in France. Usually I go for breakfast, their croissants and other pastries are very good. Also like the jams they have with free bread. Not the free bread, though. That’s actualky the only thing I don’t like. Their breads are not good in general, very heavy dough, not crunchy… Vietnamese bakeries have the very traditional and perfect French baguette. I also got salads, quiches(perfect!), paella which is very good, the rosemary chicken is perfect. I really never got anything I haven’t like, other than the bread. Which doesn’t count much so we are all good! And that reminds me to stop by and get the croque monsieur some time soon.

i’ve had the soup before but haven’t been to this location before. lots of parking but went during the busy time so the parking lot was crowded and the line was about 5 deep. ordered the 3 item combo which was great so i could try a salad, soup and pasta. all were tasty. the décor is really cute with the fireplace.

The chicken riviera crêpe is awesome! The pesto sauce is super yummy so I’ll be back for creamy pesto pasta. I ordered a trio of pasta, salad & tomato soup. Salad was ok, cold bow tie pasta with roasted tomato pesto was not satisfying– did steal the creamy pesto sauce with chicken from my husband to mix in with my pasta, and viola! It was delish! Quite honestly, I prefer the creamy tomato soup from panera, hands down. This one is a bit too sour for my taste.

The best chicken caesar around, add a bowl of their own tomato basil and you have one helluva lunch combo! And the bread with their own strawberry preserves?! Unbelievably good! Staff is always so accommodating and friendly!!!

The food and desserts are tasty and I love the environment however it was our first time here and my husband and i were victim of poor kitchen management. We didn’t receive our food until 30+ min after we ordered(sandwiches and soups). A server came to talk to us(not the manager) then when we finally got our food it was cold. We waited another 15 min it came back, still cold. What? Finally we get our food back then the manager comes. Gave us a gift card and a few desserts and apologized for everything.

We came to this location since it’s not too far from Operation Kindness. I had the eggs benedict and a caramel macchiato. The macchiato had the right amount of sweet. The eggs benedict were tender and cooked to perfection. I can’t say the same for my fiancé’s eggs they were over cooked. Other than that everything else was great. Picked up some of the rosemary chicken seasonings too. Gotta love La Madeleine!

I went two times and I don’t know why I went the second time. The food look and taste very cheap. The place look old and dark also.

I just love La Madeleine! It doesn’t really matter where you are, if there’s one of these near you, you’re going to have good food, whether it be for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. I’m a huge fan of their quiche’s, potato galette, pasta and pretty much everything I’ve ever had there. I’m not, unfortunately, a big sweet eater, so I haven’t tried many of their desserts, but I do recall them being good. I highly recommend it as a casual, comfort food kicked up a notch with the French thing going type of place. Their soups are also wonderful. I can’t recall ever having a bad experience, and I’ve probably been 20+ times over the last couple of years.

I stopped in for lunch with a coworker today and really enjoyed my lunch. The staff was welcoming, the space is nice and the food is great. I thoroughly enjoyed my shrimp crêpe — fresh, flavorful, and just the right size. I made it out without ordering any sweets… so difficult when everything in the case looks so amazing!

Wonderful place! I thought they only sold salad until I met someone here for a business lunch — wow! The salads are delicious but they also have great soups and desserts(what a healthy combination!) Friendly staff!

La Madeleine has a great menu and is a perfect spot for a quick lunch. They have some great food and even better desserts. Unfortunately, this location lacks good management and has the worst customer service I’ve seen at a La Madeleine. They had one cashier for the dinner rush and if anyone orders coffee, good luck getting your food in under 20 minutes. The cashier has to make all the specialty drinks so if someone orders coffee, no one checks out for 5 minutes. Multiple people complained about the long wait but no authority figure was present and no employees were going to help someone at another station. A few customers left before getting to the front of the line. The food was decent but with so many places in Addison to choose from, I would go somewhere that has better customer service. You can get the same type of food a lot quicker at other restaurants or locations.

I’m a sucker for this chain restaurant. Their food is always great and I love their«lighter» menu. I came to this location with a friend on a Thursday around noon. I expected it to be overly packed and parking to be brutal. It actually wasn’t too bad. There is a huge parking lot out front so there’s no problem finding a spot. There was a bit of a line when we walked in but nothing horrible. Each employee was incredibly friendly. We each ordered the trio option so we were able to pick our items and they were ready right then. The prices here are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. The restaurant itself was very clean and had a nice open layout. I would definitely return to this location.

La Madeleine is always a great option for lunch and/or if you’re looking for dessert. Their dessert options are AWESOME! I’ll start there haha. They have a bakery area where you can pop in to grab dessert or place/pick up take out. They are relatively fast when it comes to their take out as well, but calling ahead always helps. They have several size options when it comes to their desserts so you can have a very small individual portion, a medium portion(that can be shared between 2 – 3 people), or their large size which is basically their equivalent to a cake for several people. Their FRESHFRUITTART never fails, so get it whether you’re alone or with others. I normally like to pick up their largest portion for birthdays too. Their STRAWBERRIESROMANOFF is a great option too! One of my best friends always orders it when we go… Their CHEESECAKE is very rich, so if that’s not your style I would recommend passing. Their STRAWBERRYNAPOLEON I would pass on; I have only gotten it once and won’t order again. Their LEMONTART is decent, although the last one I recently had the crust was extra hard to cut through. Their TOMATOBASIL is one of their most popular soups and it is good. It is very strong in flavor too, almost too strong for my liking. They sell it in jars as well. You can’t go wrong with really any of their salads. I would, however, recommend their Caesar salad. You get a decent sized portion and it’s the salad I normally order. This restaurant is set up cafeteria style, so you go in and order while walking down a line. Then you pay at the end, they hand you your food, and you’re off to search for a place to sit. I don’t eat here often so there’s nothing memorable for the food choices I’ve only tried once.

Other than to grab a to-go item or two, I haven’t been to a La Madeleine location in years, but I was excited to come in for a «lunch bunch» event that we do roughly annually. One thing that I noticed right away: they’ve done away with the«cafeteria line» aspect of it; instead, you place your order and it’s delivered to your table, a cross between«fast casual» and more traditional table service. I selected my standby as a start, the venerable tomato basil soup. It didn’t seem quite as heavy as I remembered it, but it was very good. For the entrée, I went(somewhat) light and got the salmon Caesar salad; it featured good sized chunks of cooked salmon(a little more rare would have been better, but at least it wasn’t too far the other way) and fresh greens with a very traditional tasting dressing. A few slices of house bread smeared with real butter(albeit from those little plastic«micro-tubs») made this and the soup even better. I figured the salad earned me a little room for dessert, the classic strawberries Romanoff. I know it’s not the picture of healthy eating despite the voluminous strawberries, but tastes great and fresh. My visit here was good overall, but I have to confess, I miss the cafeteria style service a little. OK, JUST a little.

Nothing fancy in all honesty. I had the 3 salad melody, and I chose the tuna salad, fruit salad, and the pasta salad. It should be noted that I got sick the next day, a nasty stomach virus of sorts, so of course I cannot help but think of that grueling experience when I think of this review. Nonetheless, I do like La Madeleine overall, but it is never a go-to for me.
