Swank Salon

Instead of answering this unfavorable review about Christians performance at Swank Salon Christian chose to send me an anonymous text accusing me of lying! I have absolutely nothing to gain by lying about horrendous customer service. And the more I think about it the more bizarre Christians behavior is! I had taken a picture of the style of hair that I desired and instead got a haircut that couldn’t be further from what my goal was. And when I returned to get it cut and told Christian what I wanted she said that she was going to cut it the way she desired because it was her work, she never once mentioned the picture. And with all that it was very evident that she didn’t know how to cut the extensions in that they were bottom heavy. I had to see a stylist that knew how to cut extensions and she fixed the bad haircut. And based on Christians below the belt response to my review her desperate attempt to discredit me what beyond the norm! Which further indicates her instability.

I am so disappointed in this salon’s service. When I first arrived, nobody was even there. I had to wait outside for ten minutes until someone finally showed up. I continued waiting (way past my appointment time) for my hair dresser to show up. Also, I told my hair dresser time and time again that I wanted a single shade and that I do not want highlights. She proceeded to put blonde highlights all over my hair. Also, my hair dresser talked about very inappropriate topics with me including her plans to move in with a married man. It was very uncomfortable to say the least. At the end of this, I showed my groupon to my hair dresser. The groupon included cut, color and highlights! Nobody honored my groupon and charged me an additional $ 200.00. I was so upset. I corresponded with the manager multiple times, and she promised to fix the situation. After many conversations and patience, I never received a refund. This salon will not honor groupon deals and will basically steal money they promised to return. Beware before giving this salon business.

Unfortunately, my hair is way fried like Cotten. The owner of the place had bad luck and was understaffed. Only bad thing is I had to pay for it. My hair is destroyed… way over processed. She left color on my hair for about four hours ., any other salon I had been to it was only left about 3o min. Clients kept showing up and she would tend to them and put me off. Really liked the lady but devastated with my results

Overpriced. $ 80 for a haircut without style is a little high. Especially if you leave with damp hair.

I had a good experience here on my first visit. They squeezed me in within the hour and when I arrived only waited about 10 min. I was a little skeptical at first because I’m a city girl and I wouldn’t consider it «upscale «atmosphere although cute.
Gloria did my hair and she was sweet and did a wonderful job. Very good quality hair cut– that’s what matters right?

Swank is going to be my new home away from home. Sherri and her staff are the sweetest and are so welcoming to make you feel right at home. The interior lives up to its name. Very swanky and posh. Sherri is a veteran stylist and she knows hair. I was so impressed with her pre-​consultation and how she kept informing me of what she would be doing next through the process. She also offers styling tips throughout your appointment. Overall a genuine and pleasant experience and I love my ombré and cut!!!

I really like this place. I am always greeted quickly when I walk in and never have to wait very long for my stylist. The experience is always positive and she does an excellent job on my color and cut. It took me a long time to finally find a place I felt like I could go to every time and have consistent results so I will keep going back!

Sherri has been my hairstylist for years now and I am pretty fortunate to have a stylist I can practically walk from my home to get the style I want. She manages on how to cut curly hair, but she always seems to know her stuff when it comes to educating on how to manage your hair I. A daily basis. If only I can show how beautiful she has made my hair look like as of today with her special advise on hair techniques! Definitely recommend Sherri as your hair stylist. She cuts my mother-​in laws hair, my mother-​in-​laws co-​worker, and even my Mom’s hair she does! All I have to say five stars to Sherri and her beautiful salon. She definitely worked hard to get her Salon open before she transferred from Salon DiFede.

came here a couple of months ago. nice place and staff. offered beverages and greeted me. 15 min wait because the stylist didn’t show up yet, not too bad
i had hair down past my waist and just wanted to thin out my layers because they were too thick on one side. i wanted to keep my length. plan was to thin it out a little and have a second appt to get my hair colored balayage style.
2 hours and 45 minutes after starting my hair was 5 – 6 INCHES shorter, a few inches past my shoulders. it was a nice haircut but was not what i wanted at all. i’m now waiting for my hair to grow back just so i can color it the way i wanted. the stylist clearly knew what i wanted because we discussed this over the phone and texted her photos the day before so she’d have an idea of what i wanted. i don’t think i’d go back. she had an appt after me and she had to wait at least 45 min. the manager and the receptionist had to keep asking the stylist how much longer which made me feel uncomfortable. didn’t make a fuss and tipped 15−20%. hair will grow back but it sucks that i have to wait for my hair to grow back. back to the drawing board to find the stylist that is right for me

Good:
— decent haircut & color
— nice interior décor
— good selection of magazines
Cons:
— my stylist was over an HOUR late (I had to wait outside in the rain) and did not give me a discount to make up for it. Another stylist ended up cutting my hair.

What a waste of time!
I’m super bummed, I haven’t found a hair stylist since moving to DFW and this place is right up the street. I got there and was told she was running ten minutes late. After 35 minutes, and no check-​in, I just got up and left (owner was at the counter almost the whole time and didn’t say one word to me; she even watched me leave without a word!).
I rushed from work to make this appointment and I wish they would have been more respectful with my time. I was excited to find a good stylist I could come back to, plus I needed some Moroccan products… Bummer.
2 stars instead of 1 because at least they gave me a glass of wine and it was pretty good. Also, someone called me when they finally noticed I left.

Very great salon! It’s walking distances from my house and it’s so cute and fun. Everyone there is very nice. Vicky cut my hair and did a great job. Lots of layers and overall great cut. I gave 4 stars bc it just took a long time. However, I’m sure if you tell them when you need to be done they will get done! I recommend coming here!

I was so worried about trying ombré on my hair, and I couldn’t find a place in Fort Worth that I trusted enough, so when I stumbled upon Swank on Unilocal,and read the great reviews, I took the hour drive out there to see what they could do. Karen, who colored my hair did an amazing job! Everyone who works there is so nice and the moment you walk in, they make you feel welcome. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Never thought I could pull off blonde hair, ever! When I had to for a shoot, my agent recommended I come here. Sherry matched my skin and eye color perfectly and gave me the best cut I have ever had. The atmosphere is relaxing, and I never have to worry about not getting the style I wanted. Love this place and recommend it everyone!

Swank is an upscale salon in Addison Circle. The location is close to my work so it’s easy for me to get in for a hair cut, but the main reason I go there is Tiffany. She always does a great job with my hair; she’s very down-​to-​earth and actually listens to what I want done with my haircut. Definitely recommended.

I came to Swank last week for the first time and was pleasantly surprised on how beautiful the salon was decorated. It was also clean and the staff was really friendly. My hair dresser, Tiffany, always does a fantastic job on my cut and color so I’d recommend her to anyone looking to make a change! Definitely a great experience and I look forward to going back.
