Technician Roofing

I hired these guys to do some easy repairs on my house– replace a few roofing shingles, install metal flashing on two dormers on the roof, and replace a broken downspout.
The estimate for the work ($ 635) was high, but I assumed that new materials were included in that cost. First of all, the flashing on the dormers was not installed correctly and didn’t match. It was clearly salvaged from some other job. Secondly, the pieces used for the replacement downspout were old and the finished job wasn’t even water tight! The two pieces added to the downspout did not fit snugly together, one inside the other. Instead, whoever did the repairs tried to join the two pieces with a lot of epoxy or glue to make some sort of seal. It was really unacceptable and looked like it had been done by someone with no carpentry knowledge or experience. I took some photos of their sloppy work and emailed it to them. The secretary was difficult to communicate with, and she didn’t understand why the work was unacceptable. I had to explain in detail to her how the repairs should have been done.
I will add photos of their repairs soon. I do not recommend these guys at all.
