American Care Team

I found this company through a referral to their Director of Nursing who was a really nice lady. I had an appendectomy and I needed some help at home. These ladies are amazing! They were very friendly and helped a lot. I never thought that I would actually use a Home Health care service since I’m young and I thought that was for seniors and stuff, but they turned out to be very, very helpful! I talked to the manager and she sent over a CNA. She even helped me clean up a little bit since the house was a mess from the week I spent in the hospital. I talked to Ms. Fatuma about the medication the hospital gave me and she made sure I took the right amount. I’m worried about medicine so it was comforting knowing that she knew what she was doing. When they discharge you at the hospital they just read the bottle off at the pharmacy and tell you to take them. I needed a little bit more help than that! She was amazing and very helpful. She smiles a lot and was much friendlier than the nurses at the hospital which was good. She even tolerated me when I asked for proof of her nursing license! (Smile) Hey… I had to know. Overall, I can say it was a great experience. I would use their company again.
The other thing was billing. Their now moving to an electronic system which is good since I had to pay with a check which of course I couldn’t find. I’m not 60! It’s good their going to start using more modern technology though. I didn’t like the fact that I couldn’t pay with my phone, but she said they are going to take mobile and website payments soon. Outside of this… they were pretty good and nice nurses.
