Great food and very friendly service! The only reason we decided not to give the full five stars is that they were out of ribs and that’s one of reasons we chose this place. The fried pickles, Oklahoma twister and fried okra were outstanding appetizers and the homemade potato salad was delicious! The smoked meats tasted great and the footlong chili dog was huge and very good. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but we are definitely glad we stopped here for lunch.

Looks can be deceiving! This place looks like a dive bar from the outside, but we tried it based on a recommendation of a local. Really good burgers, very friendly staff, cozy & cute inside with lots of great old local photos and fun décor. Free sweet tea with meals — so good! My ¼ pound cheeseburger was juicy and delicious. Yummy slaw. All in all a really good place to eat!

Nowhere on Route 66 is truly SOMEWHERE! Right on that iconic highway is this not-so-hidden gem! Right on Route 66 in the little prairie town of Afton, it’s a surprising find! They smoke their own meats with their own recipe rubs, no commercial rubs. Great food at low prices; iced tea included with meals. Wonderful, homey decorations and collectibles adorn walls and ceilings; old pictures in windowpane frames, bandanas and advertising gunny sacks on the ceiling… lots of old kitchen gadgets and old-timely goodies! We were truly impressed with this place!

Great BBQ! Have had the ribs. Regular and Cajun. Both are excellent. Brisket is phenomenal. The staff is great and Rodney has skills. Potato salad is the best I have ever had. Tried the fried pickles and fried green beans also. While I prefer fried pickle slices, the spears that they make are great. Only complaint I would have is the sauce is average, but I haven’t found myself wanting to add anything to the meat. As real bbq should, it does not need any sauce. Well worth the trip.

Stopped here for a lunch break while driving Route 66. Definitely a hole in the wall!!! Doesn’t look very inviting from the outside & the inside is pretty dark, but the people were very friendly & welcoming, and the place had a good crowd when we left. Our group ordered pulled pork sandwiches(very good), smoked Reuben(very good), hot links(good, hot, a tad dry), ribs(great rub, but not falling off the bone as much as I like; I prefer baby backs). Wonderful potato salad. They must use very high quality mayo or homemade. No mustard or much else to it. We’d recommend it!
