The place is gorgeous inside, but yet it has this home like welcome feel. The food is outstanding. Unique appetizers such as Ruben egg rolls and Zip Zap shrimp are mouth watering. The prime rib I had was easily one of the best I have at a restaurant. They also had plenty of selections for deserts. There is something for everyone. I enjoyed my visit a lot.

Today, Meg’s birthday, we went to the River Club for BBQ buffet, and the fund raising Duck Races. Music was provided by The Rum Runner Band from Binghamton, NY. The band provided the spark that kept the day moving along at a lively pace. The buffet was excellent, and extensive. The prices for food & drinks are reasonable, the wait staff personable and very helpful. I recommend the restaurant for a friendly family dinner, or business meeting.

Nice, romantic place to eat overlooking the Susquehanna river. Food and service were great, and I love the setting and outside porch basically right on the river. The building is neat also, so will probably be going there more this winter by the fireplace. The food was better than I had anticipated. Wasn’t expecting too much because of the rather drab plain type menus. Their wings are great.

We contacted the restaurant a week ago about having an event to celebrate the life of my brother in law, who had just passed away. We had never been to the River Club, but my father in law had a good experience there at his class reunion, so we decided to give them a try as they were available on the date we wanted. Kyle was very responsive, working with us via email as we are from out of town. The restaurant was beautiful and clean and the wait staff were excellent. Our food was delicious, hot and attractively presented. Can’t recommend them highly enough!

Friday night is NOT the night to visit if you want to order anything from the regular menu rather than the Beef & Seafood buffet. At $ 22/plate the buffet is pricy for the area. An order of sliders, a burger and soup took 25 minutes to arrive after a 10-minute drink order wait. The waitress was upfront: «it’ll be a long wait because the buffet is our service priority tonight.» With a light appetite, the buffet was overkill. The three meatloaf sliders were moist and tender, but slathered with BBQ sauce, it was a challenging mess to eat. The 8 oz. well-done burger was fair, the sweet potato fries good. The chowder was forgotten so I retrieved my own from the buffet line. If you have time to kill, this may be the place with an outdoor deck overlooking the river, large dining/banquet room in addition to dining in a noisy bar room.
