just ate here yesterday! my meal and my boyfriends meal was made to perfection! the waiter was super nice and made sure everything was okay, I got a nice fribble too! highly recommend those to people who don’t wanna waste money on getting both a drink and an ice cream when you can just get a fribble. the only thing was they have a new rule where they can’t keep napkins on the table so we had to ask for them a few times. other than that we went at the perfect time and had didn’t have to wait! everyone complains about friendlys but I have been loving it since I was a kid.

If I could give no stars, I would I am not quite sure how this location is even still open because the service is horrible. Beyond horrible. My daughter loves the food, but she is 3 and loves any meal that promises ice cream to follow. Every time I come here, I wait to be seated. After I am finally seated, I wait to even be acknowledged by the waitstaff. I once actually called my order in on my phone from my table in the restaurant and asked them to deliver the meal to my table. I guess I am stupid to keep coming back, but there aren’t many decent reviews for this location, so I would assume I’m not the only one. My advice, if you want a meal sometime this century, do not go here.

Good job renovating. Awful service. I could run this restaurant faster by myself. Friendly’s won’t make it another 10 years if they don’t make a major change to their ticket times.

Food and at least half of the wait staff are garbage… the«chef» — zero pride in what is produced… I only came here because my kids wanted too… thank the Lord they hated the food so I can cross this off my list of «Hell on Earth» locations. Some Ops for improvement would be: 1. Bring the food that was ordered 2. Bring the food that was ordered, hot… not cold 3. Bath your servers and their cloths 4. Bring the pot of coffee with you when you ask me if I would like a refill 5. Don’t ask me if my children would like crayons and then not bring them after I say yes 6. When adding cheese to an omlett, at least pretend to try and melt it before reaching the table Overall, a disappointing experience… I never write reviews… but this place was that bad… I had to.

There were maybe 3 servers at most. We had Amy and she worked her tail off. She did get my order wrong, but no horribly so, and considering how hectic it was, I didn’t complain. She was very pleasant considering. But the service was incredibly slow. It seemed to be an issue in the kitchen. The manager came to our table apologizing for our wait, even though we didn’t complain. But what irked me was when she said«Do you want me out here or cooking in the back?» I understand she was slammed, but that was rather rude, especially since we never complained to begin with. I am not sure if this is a one time thing or what, but they need to get the kitchen under control.

This friendly’s was just renovated. It looks so cute, they renovated it to look retro. I only get the ice cream here. I would give it more stars, but the service is ridiculously slow. Even at the take out window, just slow.

ordered the $ 2 setup Burger and Shake paid an extra $ 1 for the fries. The shake was not as thick as it should be, but ok. The burger was ordered pink and was good. Juicy, flavorful, did not taste frozen. too much fat in the burger.

I had Doritos for lunch today. Why? Because for the first time ever at any Friendly’s, I waited 16 minutes for a waitress to greet me and take my order before I walked out. That’s right. I was quickly seated by a very nice host who assured me that a waitress would be over shortly, and she never showed up. Actually, she DID show up — she serviced the two booths on either side of me — and completely ignored me. Twice. That was about 7 minutes in. About four minutes later, she came back and visited the customers in the same two booths. Again, she ignored me. Twice. I attempted eye contact with two other waitresses before I decided to gather my things and walk out. The host said«have a nice day» as I walked out, and I just laughed to myself. I must say: I’ve been to Friendly’s many times, and admittedly it’s one of my favorite places to eat. I’ve only been to this Agawam location once before(last year) and everything was fine. But not today, though. When you ignore a paying customer for 16 minutes, you don’t deserve anything more than a one star review. In fact, the only reason this isn’t a ZERO star review is because they won’t allow me to review this particular location with zero stars. Customer service should always be top priority for any establishment, and obviously this Friendly’s Agawam location doesn’t have any of that. So they don’t deserve anything more then a ZERO star review from me, along with this recommendation to you: Go to the Mobil station up the road and grab a bag of Doritos. You’ll be in and out quickly … and if you’re lucky the cashier will tell you to have a nice day — and actually mean it. Stay away from this Friendly’s.

I don’t like to say anything bad about a business, but the service that we received was so astoundingly bad that I have to leave a review. It started when we first got here and they forgot that we were here and waiting(ironically, it was the manager herself who greeted us and then forgot about us). Then the waitress completely ignored us and the manager keep having to cover. She wasn’t exactly unpleasant, but she was irritated. To get a simple meal took us an hour and a half, probably should have taken 40 mins at most. It’s hard to exactly define, but my wife and dad and I all agreed that it was quite literally the worst service we have had in our lives, we couldn’t think of anything that had been worse. The manager didn’t even apologize, which would have at least made us feel a bit better. My dad has been coming here for 56 years and he left them a note. Stay away!

Why, why, WHY do I keep going back to Friendly’s??? Expensive, mediocre food, and no booze to make you not notice how mediocre the food is! The service at the Agawam location is good, though, so that accounts for 2 stars, not one.
