The food was fantastic. The homemade sausage soup was as good as my Nana’s. The owner was friendly amd attentive. I was surprised by the personalized service. Would highly recommend. The next time I pass through Agawam the Squires Bistro will be my first stop.

Overall I do love this place but I have to admit that the overall quality has gone down somewhat since chef Dave left– but still is well above other local fare. Love the salads and sandwiches. The specialities rotate and are always filling and delicious.

I went with a group of friends for one of their monthly evening meals that included a guest musician. The music was great, but that’s where it ends. The food wouldn’t have been nearly so bad had the service been better. The dinner was not adequately staffed to serve the number of people. Requests for butter or additional cups of coffee took for ever, a good 10 minutes. I asked twice for a glass of water and it never came. The meals arrived very slowly and some of those in our group waited 10 minutes longer than the rest of us, then it was cold. Dessert was also slow and came in the same bowls as the appetizer soup, sorta strange for apple crisp and ice cream. No one ever came to ask us for refills on our drinks. We asked for our check when the dessert was delivered and also never came so we just went to the cashier and asked for our check. We will never be there ever again!
