I was visiting family around Thanksgiving and my beloved son(16 months at the time) decided it would be fun to pull on MaMa(Grandma’s) laptop cord and pull the laptop off the dining table! MaMa and YeYe(Grandpa) were VERY gracious to their grandson and were glad that he wasn’t hurt. I insisted on paying for the repair, but they refused. So I tried to be a good daughter-in-law and called the computer repair company that they frequently use, Hawaii Tech Support, and arranged the repair as soon as possible. The office manager was courteous and professional and gave me a good price. Even though my father-in-law dropped the computer off at their office himself, the office manager worked with my request to pay for the repair before he got the bill. :) I know my in-laws honestly didn’t mind paying for it, but I didn’t want them to pay for the repair, when my son caused it. They’re so generous with us all the time anyway. The repair was done quickly and they worked with my request to pay on behalf of my in-laws, so I am happy with how they worked with me in this particular interaction.
