Called ahead just to make sure I had the directions correct. I arrived a lil after 8pm. Hand on my pistol, is this the right place kinda dark over here? No way there’s a place to eat over here. Dang nabbit, sho is! Ordered at the window, pleasant friendly former army guy took my order and asked how I heard about the place. Combo pie and some wings for me, let me see what y’all working wit. Pizza crust was just as good if not better that Pizza Hut, piping hot fresh ingredients. Damn bra, you put yo foot in this,.com. Wings had a light breading, was hard shifting back and forth between the pie and wings. But all in all this place is a whole in da wall good. On top of that the proceeds go toward feeding the homeless. Winna!

As we were driving towards this place, my husband and I had a one of the best Unilocal conversations. It was summed up as follows: CW: «This place is the reason Unilocal is such an asset to the community. It helps us find the holes in the wall that we would never have found again.» Located in Halawa deep in the industrial district, paddle board is the owner’s second job, explaining the odd operating hours and minimal menu. He sticks to basics. Pepperoni, cheese, or sausage, breadsticks and hot wings. One size, no frills. The pizza is quality homemade crust and cheese. The bread sticks resemble pretzel bread, crispy on the outside and incredibly soft on the inside. I would even say I prefer this pizza to Boston’s when it’s open. When we came, we were told cash only. This is unlike what is portrayed on their menu card. I’m not sure if their app was down for the day, but be prepared for this occurence. There isn’t an ATM in sight.

Pizza was great-perfect crust, sauce was good, toppings well distributed. Those garlic stick things– sooooo good Wings– good! Clever box sayings– make me so happy. Sure, you feel strange sitting in a dark parking lot waiting for your food… but a great pizza for a great price? What more could you want? Owner was very kind also. :)

Bought a Groupon for $ 7 which included a combo medium pizza(pepperoni and sausage) and and 8 piece order of wings! This was my experience… Location: Like some of the other reviews said, it’s in a very industrial part of Aiea/Halawa area. I actually thought my maps app was taking me to the wrong place! There was a sign along the road that we saw driving by which helped! As did the paddle in front of the carry out window! Parking: Not a problem at all! Big lot between 2 warehouse looking buildings. Service: When I initially called, the gentleman who answered spoke very abruptly with me. Seemed like he was not in a good mood. So much for customer service :/. I did receive a text message telling me my pizza was ready, which was kinda cool, but creepy at the same time because I had no idea that they would be texting me. Would’ve been nice if the guy on the phone told me I would be receiving a text when the pizza was ready. Food: The pizza wasn’t bad, it was definitely a lot less oily than pizzas I’ve had at other carryout/delivery places. There were big pieces of sausage, a good amount of pepperoni and sauce on the pizza, and the crust was also good. Even though it was good, there was nothing really special or especially tasty about the pizza. The wings were also good… not greasy, pretty good seasoning(included a side of ranch), but again not really memorable. The little message inside the pizza box was cute, but the fact they also wrote«5 stars please» makes me feel like they are begging for good reviews, and makes me feel like the rating on here isn’t entirely accurate. Price: Originally the medium pizza costs $ 7 as does the 8 pieces of wings, but I got both for $ 7 because of the groupon! I probably wouldn’t pay the regular price for these menu items though. Especially because I’d have to go out of my way to drive here and the selection is limited. Overall: I might return if there’s a different groupon deal offered so I could try other menu items besides the wings, but the likelihood of me returning without some kind of deal is slim to none. I definitely do want to support small, local businesses, but as a person who is mindful of how she spends her money I only want to spend it on goods/services that I feel I REALLY need or want. And I feel rather ‘meh’ :/about the food from Paddle Board.

This place is run by a gentleman who is in the army during the day and runs this shop in the eves. The location is odd but I think industrial Halawa might be the up and coming place to get grinds in this area. Close your eyes and try to recall industrial Kakaako 10 – 15 years ago compared to today– nuts right? So, I called to place my order-2 med pizzas(pepperoni and combo) and 2 orders of wings(one hot and one mild). Then to my surprise I revived a text as I headed over to let me know my pizza was placed in the oven. As I parked in the parking lot I received another text telling me my pizza is ready. Awesome service right? Then when sat and opened my boxes of food, each box had a kind or funny handwritten message inside. What a nice touch! Anthony(the owner) was very kind and friendly when we placed our order. He also greeted us well, introduced himself(shook our hands and all) and shared that he is in the service so he works during the day therefore the odd hours of operation. The menu is basic. You can choose three different of pizzas, wings, paddle and cinnamon sticks, and soda. When it comes to pizza, I think it fulfills a pizza eaters basic needs. My husband was satisfied with the pizza. He explained that the pizza was basic– kind of no frills but sometimes that is a good thing. After all, sometimes too much toppings or crazy pizza that should be a pasta instead takes away from the actual pizza. When it’s basic you can enjoy the crust, sauce, and toppings more. We thoroughly enjoyed the wings. The wings were juicy! I prefer spicy food so I preferred the spicy but my toddler munched on the mild and did not complain. All in all, this pizza place pretty cool. Ever purchase benefits the Hawaii Food Bank. Also, for a pizza, Anthony tries to make it healthier by using high quality products when making his pizza. I sure wish the best for this establishment!!! PS. Can’t wait to go back to try the paddle sticks!

Pros: *Cheap — It’s a good deal(although I like Little Caesar’s $ 7 special better, and it’s bigger). My kids LOVED this pizza. I thought it tasted just like Chuck E Cheese’s. Not bad, not great. I’m not a fan of wings, but I liked these — they were very simple(no sauce) but tasty. *Convenient — We went on a Saturday at around 5:30pm, so the industrial area was pretty dead and there was lots of parking. It was hard to find, but now that I know where it is, it will be easy(if I go again) to get in and out. Cons: *Service — The guy that helped us wasn’t friendly at all. Maybe it was just a bad day. One positive though, he put out a folding table for us to sit at while we were waiting.(He kind of looked like it pained him to do so though!) *VERY limited menu — Their only toppings available are pepperoni and sausage. We ordered one pepperoni and one combo. I didn’t pay enough attention to the menu and was expecting the combo to be like a supreme, but it was just pepperoni and sausage, which ended up being fine(personally, I don’t like supreme anyway) but I was just a little surprised. I love local businesses and want to support them, but, honestly, I can’t see this place lasting a year. TIP: Call and order ahead. Since I hadn’t been there before I just went and ordered at the window. It took about 20 minutes, which is a fair time to cook a pizza, but there’s absolutely nothing to do in the area and it was raining and I had two young, bored, kiddos literally climbing the walls of the car.

Not bad for $ 7.00! Very affordable! Liked the combo slightly better than the pepperoni. My Sweety’s moped’s belt broke and they were kind enough to let him make an emergency call(although he did not know my new number!). The owner was super nice and gave him a ride up the road! Thank you Anthony! *also very clean and spacious! Conveniently located as well!

Good pizza, bad wings, amazing owner, sketch neighborhood location. I wouldn’t hesitate to order pizza from here, in fact, I’m looking forward to it. It’s a no-frills, oven baked, delicious pie. Good mild spicy pepperoni, thin crust, good sauce, good cheese. The wings were soft and rather gross but I’m a wing snob so it might be my misplaced high standards for delicious, crispy, juicy, perfectly seasoned wings… If I were you, I’d get it delivered or call ahead. One or the other. I, for some reason, was under the impression this is a place you could come and eat inside, but it’s not. It’s located in the industrial part of town. Call and pick up or call and get it delivered.

I’ve tried a lot of Italian restaurants on the island, and I was VERYHAPPY with the quality of food as well as the awesome prices that this hole in the wall restaurant has to offer. My boyfriend and I went there the other night wanting to satisfy our craving for pizza, and boy was I in for a treat! The lovely gentleman that owns the place came out and even hand delivered our food, despite the fact that he was busy with many other customers! My boyfriend and I had: 1. Half pepperoni half cheese pizza($ 7) The pizza had been made to order, and the cheese was oozing all over the place. The crust was crispy and not doughy like a lot of other places, and the ratio of cheese to tomato sauce was perfectly implemented. I really enjoyed the cheese pizza, but clearly the pepperoni pizza was definitely my favorite. I WANTMORENOW! MMMM :-) 2. Paddle sticks($ 7) Holy moly, there are a lot of places that offer breadsticks, but these were clearly some of the best I have ever had. The breadsticks came out hot and crispy, and they are definitely not skimpy with the portions. An order of this can clearly feed 2 people, and the owner puts this garlic butter sauce right underneath the breadsticks, which allows for a flavor profile that resembles garlic pasta, MANTHESEARESOFREAKINGGOODIFYOULOVEGARLICBUTTERPARMESANBREADSTICKSTHENYOUWILLFREAKINGLOVETHESE~ The owner does not skimp on the sauce at all and he puts lots and lots and lots of garlic, All I can say is that is onolicious. 3. Hot wings($ 7) Man, even their hot wings were good. They were seasoned beautifully, and it comes with this ranch sauce that goes perfectly with the spicy tabasco flavor emanating from the hot wings. I am not a huge fan of hot wings, but I have to say, they weren’t greasy or too salty. CONS: The wait was a little bit on the longer side, but because he made the food to order, it is clear that the food was incredibly fresh, and not microwaved or reheated in any way. THANKYOU~~ EXCELLENT!

I saw it on groupon but figured when would I ever eat here so I passed on it and now I wish I bought one. You really don’t need a coupon for this place because the prices are really reasonable. Last night I had a craving for pizza and figured I’d give it a try. I absolutely loved the pizza!!! In fact, I couldn’t wait to get it home so I drove to Stadium Mall and purchased a drink from Taco Bell/Pizza Hut and ate it right there in the parking lot. The pizza crust was crunchy and the inside was chewy. I never thought I would like chewy but it was great!!! The paddle sticks were awesome!!! Lots of butter and garlic and they were crunchy/chewy as well. The bread sticks came with a marinara sauce but I think they taste better just dipping it back into the garlic butter sauce on bottom of the take-out box. As everyone else has said in their posts, the owner is a really nice guy and he gives back to the community. I will definitely be eating here again and again and again. Sidebar — This is located in a warehouse/industrial area. Although they do have one table outside(very clean) for people who can’t wait to get it home like me, this isn’t a restaurant so don’t expect to be served.

My son loves his pizza(he gets that from his dad). So after loafing all day, he asks to go to the pizza parlor. Of course, my husband is more than happy to entertain that idea. Not wanting to go to JJ Dolans on a Saturday, we found this little hole in the wall, literally. I had an online deal like everyone else. For $ 7, I got $ 14 to spend. It doesn’t seem like a lot but it goes far! I got 2 medium pepperoni pizzas and 1 order paddle sticks(I paid $ 6 out of pocket there for my sticks). In total, I spent $ 13 for the whole meal! I guess in hindsight(with an entire pizza left), I could have forgone the paddle sticks and just spent $ 7. I didn’t call in my order and headed down there with the two boys. Our order did take a bit but everyone else had called in an order. It was about 30 mins but we entertained ourselves in other ways and listened to our son talk our ears off and the guy sitting next to us. Anyway the man(must be the owner) was really nice. He was polite and everyone was asking for his business card. He did all the order taking and bringing your pizza out. Food was nice and hot when we got home(granted we live close by). Our pizza was nice because it was thin crust. My fave! The paddle sticks were chewy but the butter garlic parm sauce on the bottom was a nice dipping sauce for my pizza crust(like Papa Johns but better). Minor things to know — only open from 5 – 9 pm M-Sat, he takes card but prefers cash(he donates the change to the food bank), there’s only one table in the parking lot(so take your pizzas to go), and bring your iPhone and ear plugs because I’ll be back with my son and he will talk or sing your ear off. Ps. They do delivery(I saw two drivers speed away with food when I was there)

Earlier tonight, we had 1 medium combo pizza, wings, and a liter coke. We found out this place from LivingSocial. Even without the voucher, still good prices! Me & my GF enjoyed it. In the near future, please make a supreme pizza(meat & veggies, like Pizza Hut kine). We definitely coming back for more!

Used my Groupon and whoa – what a deal!!! :) His prices are great even without the Groupon/Living Social deal! Anyway… about the food… ordered a cheese and a pepperoni pizza. Both were fab. My family loved them. Has that yummy cornmeal type crust, even my 4 yr old who«hates» crust ate it. The wings were great! I also ordered a side of breadsticks and those babies didn’t make it to the house LOL. What I do love(besides the food) is that it is owned by a super nice Army soldier. He’s still on active duty which is why his hours are limited but this guy is working his tail off doing this job and his«other» job serving our country. As a military family, I have mega respect for him. Tricky to find. Luckily he is open hours when that road isn’t busy so you don’t look out of place trying to find the pizza place. It’s on the Right. I think he parks his white Chrysler out front. I also loved that he texted me to tell me pizza was in oven, that it was ready and a few hints on finding him. I’ll be back :)

Papa Johns just lost another customer! Great Pizza at a reasonable price is always a good thing. Whats even better is the customer service. The owner Anthony is very pleasant and courteous. He cares a great deal about cleanliness and quality. Bonus that they are giving back to the community by donating to the food bank. That should be another 5 stars! I fully support local business’s like paddle board. Hope to see you expand to other parts of the island:)

Bought a groupon for PaddleBoard that was $ 14 for a 2 medium pizzas and 2 orders of wings and decided it was time to use it. I called ahead & the woman that answered was very helpful. Make sure to have the groupon and barcode number handy because they asked me for it(no need to print though, he can just scan it from his phone). We got a combo(pepperoni & sausage) and pepperoni pizza. Both were very good. It was a good ratio of sauce/crust/topping and worth more than the $ 7 asking price. Paddle sticks were great, garlic butter breadsticks with marinara sauce. & wings were good too. It’s a little tricky to find, but you will be glad you went. We will be going back soon. Remember to call it in. Everything was made fresh.

My wife found this place on Groupon, and we couldn’t pass on the deal. I’ll admit, I was skeptical at first. I mean, $ 7 for a pizza? Yeah, that’ll be as good as Little Caesars. We took a drive down to the little shop and after talking to the owner for a minute, I knew this was gonna be my type of place. There’s nothing I love more than people doing good things for other people. A percentage of his proceeds go to the Honolulu Food Bank. Pretty damn rad, if you ask me. But I digress. We took our pizza and wings home… and holy crap. This ish is good! So good, in fact, that I downloaded Unilocal to my iPhone and wrote this review. It’s that good. So go help a good dude help other people. You’ll be rewarded with a good pie and you’ll feel good about yourself.

Groupon led me to this whole in the wall… c’mon…$ 14 for TWO medium pizzas AND16 chicken wings!!! I can’t believe you didnt jump on that too! Ok…so then I tried to call in my order so I could conveniently pick it up on my way home in rush hour traffic. But no answer. I finally found a post on their facebook page that said 5 pm — 9 pm. Oh shucks! I figured this must be a sidejob kind of gig. By now the hubby and I were both ono for pizza so I couldn’t go home empty handed. I get there and order… in about 15 minutes the mouth watering smells consumed my car ride home. Needless to say, I couldn’t stop eating the pizza. Something about the crust… it’s fantabulous!!! I also ordered the Paddle Boards — which is more of that fantabulous bread covered with butter and parmessan and made to a toasty perfection, with chewy goodness inside… SOADDICTING! Screw the diet… it’s so worth it =) Oh, we got the mild wings… meaty, normal chicken wings. Can’t wait to try the hot tho! Leftovers this morning were just as ono too! It’s a hole in the wall, in the midst of industrial companies. Just look for the address and Suite 107. There aren’t any big signs or lights or anything but a small ordering window. Totally worth the wait, hospitality, and onolicious grinds! And besides, at these prices… you cannot go wrong! MADPROPS to this army ‘boy’(just cuz he’s younger than me) who’s ambitions are providing us locals with a cheaper alternative to the chain operations. Cut him some slack about the business hours… he’ll be running two jobs until November, then it’ll be all about the pizza baby! And he donates proceeds to the HAWAII Foodbank… giving back to the community? AWESOMESUCCESS bu… best wishes to your continued success! CASHONLY
