When I saw this place in the mall, I was really excited to get my baby daughter some personalized ornaments for our tree. So today, I stopped by and bought two cute ornaments. However, when they did the writing on it, I was really disappointed. First, they did NOT use a capital letter for her name. Second, the handwriting looked a little messy and didn’t look anything like the displays they had, which had way nicer penmanship. I feel like I honestly could have done a better job myself with a sharpie. Because it’s personalized and the receipt says «all sales final. No refunds or exchanges,» I figured I’d take the ornaments and be on my way. I’m unsatisfied with the quality and I’m tempted to go back to buy blank ornaments and write on them myself. I do love the concept and their selection is cute, but the handwriting needs to be better.

Santa’s Pen is a small store that sells the CUTEst personalized Christmas ornaments ever. They have locations in different areas of Hawaii. I had to call around this year to find out that their seasonal locations are at Pearlridge Uptown and Navy Exchange Rotunda. Year-​round locations are at Dole Plantation, Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort, Waikiki Beach Marriot Resort & Spa, and at Lahaina inside Koa’s Seaside Grill.
I went to the Pearlridge location this year. There is a wide selection of ornaments available to choose from. There are Hawaiian-​themed, hobby-​related, pets, couples, profession-​related, baby, and many other different types of ornaments. My boyfriend and I were looking for a couple’s ornament and decided on 2 (one to make up for last year’s laziness lol) ornaments: a cute snowmen couple and a bear couple. With our ornaments we could have two attachment ornaments for free! The attachment ornaments are smaller pieces made specifically for names. We wanted our attachment piece to have our dog’s name. Each ornament also has a small space to have the year written. What a great way to preserve Christmas memories :
The price is not bad for a personalized ornament, but it is pricier than an ornament you buy at a store. The larger the ornaments, the more it costs, but it’s so worth the memories it creates! There was also a deal of getting a free ornament if you purchase 4 :) The sales associates were so friendly and told us it would take 10 – 15 minutes to have the ornaments personalized. After walking around the mall, we went to pick up them up and they were exactly how we imagined them. I’m currently writing this review while glancing at them on our Christmas tree and I have to say that I’m very, very, very satisfied and happy. Thank you Santa’s Pen!
